Lesson learnt: Always be collecting emails

Lesson Learnt: Always be Collecting Emails

Hi IH ,

Recently reached a milestone of 300k+ total users on an indie game, Wheredle.xyz, that I had developed during the Wordle craze earlier this year

And only now did realize that I should've been collecting emails because now I have a drastically smaller audience to send my next project to.

I was operating it as a hobby so I was not looking for any monetary gains. Should've realized that I could derive a greater value out of collecting emails and generating an audience.
On a similar note, kudos to Substack for making it easy to do that.

The best way to grow your business is to always be collecting emails. This way, you can stay in touch with your customers and let them know about new products and special offers.
