Let's exchange landing page feedback!

Don't forget add specific questions or things to focus on while evaluating!

Here's mine:
https://tagmyknowledge.com/

I completely revamped my benefits section, that's what I'm trying to evaluate.

Here are my questions:

  1. Why should you install Tag My Knowledge instead of Google Keep, Evernote, OneNote, etc.? (in as few words as possible)
  2. Is it too much text? If so, what would you remove?

    Hi!
    Looks like a great product!

    1. I've seen a couple of apps of this kind before. Did you conduct any Jobs To Be Done interviews with your potential users to find out how your app differs from the competition?
    2. They say that a visitor spends less than 15 seconds to get acquainted with your proposition and then churns. Right now it looks a bit overloaded with text, so in theory it is hardly read by your visitors. Did you conduct any UX interviews on your page?
      Good luck with your app!

      Hey, thanks for the feedback!
To be honest, I haven't done any research prior to developing the app, since I knew I was going to develop it anyway, because I really wanted it myself.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "jobs to be done".
Do you remember any of the apps you've seen?

I tried to write the text in a way that is interesting and easy to read. I don't have stats to evaluate how successful that is though.

I think I have a great idea for a headline to get people to read the text, which is probably a good way of getting started with Google Optimize. I'll post updates on how that goes on the IH product page.

I haven't done any UX interviews on the page, but I tried gathering feedback via IH threads, which has been really helpful so far.

That being said, isn't 15 secs stretching it? I thought it was 3 secs, but it could be that thats the time to decide for the headline-worthyness

        Hey,
Jobs To Be Done (JTBD) is a product management framework, helps to find out what your customers really want and where your product is among competition (some more details, for example - https://jtbd.info/2-what-is-jobs-to-be-done-jtbd-796b82081cca).
One of the common apps that i have on my phone (though honestly, never used it) is "Books in Action" (https://www.mentorist.app/).
That's great to collect feedback! Though still important to note that we may be far from your target segment, IH is quite specific, you know :)
Did you think maybe about hiring a UX researcher to help with all these interviews and customer insights? Usually these guys help to skyrocket an idea by finding true customers needs, pains and tensions with the product (or the landing at least)

        1. 1

Ty for the links! No, I don't really plan on hiring anyone, I'd rather learn how to do everything myself first before paying someone else to do it for me.

Makes total sense :) good luck with your endeavors!

I was curious by the idea of "converting notes into habits". I wasn't sure how it works though, I didn't see enough information in the video on the home page, there's too much typing. You prob want to demonstrate this concept of "converting notes into" habits into something that takes ideally less than 8 seconds.

I've completely rewritten the benefits section, could you take a look at it again maybe?

      1. 1

I still don't get it. By the time I finish reading the headline, 10 secs of the videos pass. I also tried to watch the video alone, I still don't get it how I can convert notes into habits. Maybe focus on demonstrating how you convert a single note into a single habit.

        1. 1

That's a really good idea. I currently don't have the time to redo the video, but I'll definitely keep it mind when creating the actual video. Thanks a lot!

Ty for the feedback! The problem is that this is hard to explain in 8 seconds. The idea was to get the visitor interested in how this is achieved by reading the rest. I'm currently rewriting the page. It has probably slightly more text, but it'll better formatted and with graphics to make it more interesting.
About the video, I get what you mean. For now, I'll stick with the existing video, but I'll definitely create a real promo video eventually that can hopefully address this.

I think your landing page doesn't tell enough information about your product. Also, The two CTA's at the end i.e. email and the download btn. togther doesn't do the justification. I don't find it convincing enough to install it.

Maybe you can add some content in between them like screenshot of apps explaining features or probably the pricing section can come here too. For illustrations, you can check out https://undraw.co/illustrations .

I would love to know your feedback on my Saas which is called Designtack.

      About your feedback:

      • I'll try to split the two points into 3, add illustrations and screenshots and move the cta somewhere in between.
      • undraw is amazing! Ty so much for sharing it. I have a free spinning scroll wheel and it took me 3 times on full speed to get to the bottom, it's just unreal

      Let's check out your site:

      • Before clicking on it, my brain read "designstack" and I was confused for a sec
      • First impression: Lots of moving stuff that wants my attention. I'd limit it to one video and the rest screenshots.
      • I don't particularly like the shadows, maybe softer shadows & rounded corners would look better. Maybe even a device frame, I wrote this Medium article on how to do it.
      • The cookie banner was placed directly in front of part of the second headline
      • I really don't like your icon, sorry. To me, it looks like it's made out of Play-Doh. I think it has way too many colors, and I don't like its gradient. I would probably limit it to 3 colors max + the blue paint brush. Flat design, few details as they get lost at that size.
      • The remix feature looks really interesting.
      • The second video seems to be the same one as the first?
      • The video looks a bit bloated. Perhaps focus on the remix feature alone in the header?
      • Please don't use gifs for videos. The quality is terrible, especially when compared to mp4 or webm at the same size

All in all, I think your users probably have one specific "flow" of going from 0 to having content for their 3 platforms. Making one small section for each step could be a great way to convey that.

Also, I've completely rewritten the benefits section, could you take a look at it again maybe?

Thank you for the feedback. I will do the necessary!
