Have you ever built an MVP and started questioning yourself: ‘Is my MVP ready to launch?’.
If yes, hear me out.
What if we (Indiehackers, founders or whatever we like to call ourselves) could help each other build more viable MVP’s.
I have an idea for a feedback platform that would work as following:
By giving feedback on someone's MVP, you earn 1 credit. You can use this credit to get feedback on your own MVP. So, the more feedback you give, the more feedback you receive!
For more information check out the MVP I built for this: https://viablefeedback.com
This idea is inspired by a post from @Scott322 earlier this month: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/first-5-seconds-leave-a-link-in-the-comments-and-ill-reply-with-my-first-5s-impression-e2b7cae4b4
What are your thoughts on this idea? All feedback is welcome like always!
Sounds like @mattfreire's product Kollood, despite the obvious differences. It even has Kolloosion Points ™️.
Which leaves one question.
But seriously though, you guys might synergize well.
Are these credits gonna be like a crypto?
Hi Most, thanks for linking me the product from @mattfreire, I did not know of its existence. If he'd like to share some thoughts I'd love to.
@most thanks for the mention!
@Jopha this is a really cool idea. At least there are two of us that think this is an interesting space!
It's pretty good idea and it worked for some subReddits for ages.
It's decent, from my perspective: well worth building.
My take is keep a spreadsheet, and set accountancy there.
That would include the directory.
Could you show an example of this? I'm not sure what keeping a spreadsheet and setting accountancy there means.
Here is what I'm thinking on:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Tr5nJDEKy1VZLE-Ewe35SdR9JJehrQLKZ3mJYt8GslA/edit?usp=sharing
Ah yes, and use that as a database on Bubble or do you have something else in mind?
To be honest, I would use Twitter. So I would use it as a read-only spreadsheet. Contact early startups, that might be interested to join the directory, promote the featured sites from your Twitter account.
And once you have around 50-100 startups and let's say 200+ reviews, and once I understand my market, how the tool is used. Then I would start thinking about the product, and yes in that case Buble could be fine :)
This sounds like a great idea, thanks for building this, Jop! Going off a tangent here - if you're looking for domain/brand name inspirations for your MVP, I've built a tool that compiles all the available and brandable one-word domains out there, hopefully you're able to find a name you like there! :)
For me personally that's not going to work. I'm barely motivated by money, let alone virtual credits.
Though other people would possibly claim otherwise, it's a naturally occurring pattern that interesting projects, and even more often interesting (or simply well connected) people get all the attention. Call me a sceptic, but I do not think it is that easy to equalize this inequality by simply offering credits.
Ps. I guess I already earned one credit by writing this comment, didn't I?
Hi, the 'credits' don't have monetary value (although it would be possible) in my concept. You would receive a credit in exchange for giving feedback. With this credit you can receive feedback on your own MVP. It's a give and receive system. I hope this makes my intentions clear, thanks for the feedback!
Sounds good, Jop. Go for it!
Sound like a great idea, I just submitted my MVP there
I just launched v2 of The User Interview Exchange today. I’m coming at it from the User Interview tradeoff and even included the same credit system. I love your angle of the product feedback itself. Together, we’re getting close to a product feedback journey :) I love it!

Ah its not yet build..... you should build this.
Good idea! I already signed up ;)
I bookmarked your site. Good idea. I will take part and I'm honored you mentioned me in your post. It's actually a great idea, how you did the give-n-take credits.
Thanks! And thanks again for the inspiration.
I mean - how you did the give n take part is a great idea. Thumbs up my good man.
it's a good idea

That's a great suggestion, thanks!
