Hey indiehackers!
I've made a landing page to prepare the launch of our web app on Product Hunt.
And this morning, I said to myself "Indiehacker is an incredible place to get real feedback on it".
But I didn't just want to send you my landing. That's not one-way, that's not Indie Hacker.
So let's share our landing pages and give us feedback!

Here's my feedback on Misakey:
On a wide screen, the logo and other items in the header look misaligned:
I find your "Professional instant messaging" "Share private spaces with your clients" to be unclear. I know what instant messaging is, but I don't know what "professional" instant messaging is. "Share private spaces" is also vague. "Encryption for your confidential documents and discussions" is much clearer to me, and I think you should lead with that. Something like "Encrypted messaging for your confidential documents and discussions with clients."
It's not obvious to me how this works. At first, I thought this was a mobile and desktop app for encrypted messaging, so I assumed that both users and their clients would have to download the app to use it. Then I saw "No account needed" and "No app installation" and "100% from browsers". So is this 100% a web app? (No native app?) How do I invite clients into the app? Do I email them or text them a link? Do the clients need to save or bookmark the link and is the link active forever? These may seem obvious to you, but there were not obvious to me, and I was left with a lot of uncertainty.

Nice detailed feedback, I think he should make the copy more clear and position the product so people can understand the benefit of this product compared to using other solutions like skype.
I've noticed some issues in design too, I suggest using frontendor to fix your design.

A bit late to this post but I like the idea. I got that it's a secure way for me to share documents with a third party all in the browser, without having them sign up. I think the points I find unique about your solution are the end-to-end encryption and the fact it's all within the browser, with no app and no sign up. Not sure if you consider those to be the unique points but if yes, maybe highlight them more, and why they're important in the specific use case/users you are targetting. But I think you should help people looking at the site understand if they're the right audience by making it clear who it's for. I'm not sure I get what type of clients when you just say "clients".

Your landing page looks good. I'm not sure I would put sensitive documents on your site? Even if you have the best intentions, I would probably want to use something like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc & their 2FA login?

I agree with some of the feedback here that the text on your landing page is a bit vague. I don't know what the point of private spaces with clients is (but maybe your target audience would).
Is there some way you can orient your text callouts more about the pain points you're solving? I think because you're introducing a new product, it's important to be clear about that.

That's a nice looking landing page. Out of curiosity how did you do that upcoming page on product hunt, I was looking at doing something similar but it looked like product hunt was only for already available products?

Hey Chris, the upcoming page is pretty simple to set, just go to Product Hunt and click on Ship. You can have subscribers and notify them when you launch. In the meantime, you can also ask them questions.
But in order to be featured (in the home page top left or the upcoming list) you need to buy the premium subscription (~60-70$/m). In less, than a day we receive 60 subscribers.
I can get back to you with the data after one month if u'd like.

As for your website, it looks like you made it with landen and that's cool. The purpose is clear but you have to put in perspective and better terms, maybe change the wording a little to make it more relatable. And more attractive.

After reading your homepage, I think I understand what UpStamps does but it's a little unclear. Is this similar to https://firebase.google.com/docs/remote-config?
I don't think the title "Did you ever deploy a feature by mistake?" is a good one. I think you should be more clear what your app does. This headline makes me think the primary use case is to undo or rewind a deployment that was made in error. But as I read on, I think the main point is to have more granular control over feature deployments. Your first 3 features are "feature flags", "a/b tests" and "segments" but I don't see how these are related to deployment errors.
Is this for native apps, desktop apps, web apps or all of the above? That would be helpful information on the home page.
Hi, thanks for the feedback, the copy is something I'm exploring to improve. The integrations are prepared for Web Apps or everything related to JavaScript, but there is a Rest API where you can integrate in any context.
The Firebase example is very similar to UpStamps

Without the video, I don't really understand what problem the product is addressing. I think it might be good to have a short sentence describing the problem.
Agreed. We will have to improve the presentation and hopefully make it more dynamic in the future. I think we will replace the top image to contain this information. Describing OrgPad is tough because it presents a completely different way how to work at computer. We recently think of presenting it as "iPhone of software".

Your landings are great! I can't find much to say about it, we directly understand the product and its value proposition.

After reading the homepage, I honestly have only an inkling of what fundstory does. It's obviously related to fundraising, but that's all I got. Is it a referral site for funding sources?
It's a marketplace to link borrowers with online lenders. The borrower creates a profile and answers questions about their business such as the payment processor they use, type of business, funding goal, etc. We then match the appropriate lender(s) depending on the info.
I appreciate your feedback. We've asked several others too, and the consensus seems to be that there's a lot of ambiguity on what we actually do. My first instinct is to change the copy of the header and sub-header to start it off. Are there any other changes you would suggest?
Everything you said in the comment above is crystal clear. You should include all of that information in your copy.
Few other things that weren't clear:
First, is your financing only debt? When you say "capital" my mind immediately went to equity financing because that's what I usually think about. But when you say "borrow" above, I think of debt financing. Is it one or the other or both?
"Non-dilutive capital" is not a commonly understood thing. Is this just a fancy way of saying "loans/debt financing"?
Also, something that isn't clear is what type of borrower you are looking for. Small businesses? Large businesses? Saas businesses? Indiehacker businesses? Retail? Venture/early stage? Late stage venture? Cash flow positive businesses? All of the above?
Great points, we’re noticing the friction “non-dilutive capital” creates. In general we’re referring to any form of financing that doesn’t require ownership or control in the business. This includes factoring, business credit cards, grants, etc.
We’re focused on serving bootstrapped SaaS businesses doing ~5k in mrr. Over time we’ll expand into e-commerce, marketplaces, etc.
The goal is to make it easy for startup founders to find alternatives to venture capital.

You're welcome to use the phrase "non-dilutive capital" but then you should explain what it means as you did above. "Non-dilutive capital is any form of financing that doesn’t require giving up ownership or control in the business. This includes small business loans, factoring, business credit cards, grants, and more."

Yes, few users told me that it more looks like newsletter. Actually I'm going to make a separate page for this, kind of analytic tool, like others have (pingdom I guess has it)

Also, how is Pingr differentiated from competitors? I've used Uptimerobot on past projects. Pingr is clearly a nicer looking app, but it also seems like it has fewer features and is more expensive. Uptimerobot has 1min checks. How frequent are Pingr's checks?

Your project is really interesting but the way it is presented is very conceptual for me. It took me a long time to figure out what I could do with Midnight. I agree with Steven, putting the video more prominently would be cool. I think the video could also be shorter by focusing on features.
This looks very intriguing, but it's also so confusing. Who is this for and why? Is this like a cross between public journaling and twitter?
[click on "Learn More"]... what is "networked writing"? What is write.as? I kinda know what Roam is. Why do I have to understand two other apps to understand this one?What is the benefit of networked writing? Will it be networked with only my writing or other people's writing?
[after watching video]... Ok, I think I get how it works. Maybe you should put this on the home page? It took me a long time to figure out how this works. But I'm still not quite sure why I would want to do this.

Hi @Fabien thanks so much for the input! Right now, we're just collecting emails pre-launch, but you do raise a good point. Maybe we should consider providing additional benefits to people who sign up - either as incentive or as a thank you. If you have experience with this, I'd love to hear any ideas you have!
Great use of pink! I feel that color rarely gets used in products these days, especially security-minded ones.
The screenshots to the left/right of the features are kind of hard to understand. They are a little small to see exactly what is going on. Maybe you can try zooming in on the important part or calling it out with a magnifying glass. Right now I feel like they are actually taking away from the value because they are so tiny.
For example, Refactoring UI recommends calling out the important bits.

I really like the design.
I immediately understood the product's value proposition and the problem it solves. It's very personal, but I'm not sure that the "Neat code" and "launch in time" part is necessary as I had already understood the benefits of the product before.

The description of your product is clear and fun.
I don't really understand the "home" of the navbar, I imagine it is useful when you enter in the game.
But, for me, your landing is very optimized to have users!

I like your product @Fabien! From your landing page I understand very well what you do and the problem you solve. I tried to find something to be improved but honestly it just works for me. Design is clean and features are well explained. In particular, I like the format image + headline + bullet list with 3 items. CTA are put in the right place and non-invasive. Maybe, since you have the button fixed on top-right, you could try to remove the last two. At the bottom of the page I see 3 CTA and it could feel a little too aggressive for someone. But it is a very small detail in my opinion. It works great.

For your landing :
I really like the design, it's clean. And the title is really catchy that's cool.
There isn't too much text, and it's really smooth to read.
But, it took me a little while to understand the value proposition and the differences between your product and other note or knowledge base applications. I think a section (or a video) like "why you should use Gemsnote" would be cool!

So it looks like note-taking, but using a tree as the structure rather than an array (like the Notes app on a Mac) if I'm understanding correctly. I spent a second reading through the terms (fleeting note and permanent note) but I don't think I understand those still.
Consider trying to drop some of the technical explanation (exactly how it works) and maybe focus on the value proposition ("recall even the most distant memory with great clarity!").
