There is a big hype around AI, especially after the launch of ChatGPT.
They recently released access to new API, and many companies and indie makers are jumping on this train to bring new features into their products.
What industry or market will AI have the most significant impact on?
Some people compare AI hype with NFTs.
I strongly disagree. I think AI creates disruption and new opportunities in the market because you can bring better value for end customers.
Suddenly, you can compete with others on the market by introducing new features that save more time or make your app easier to use.
I highlight 3 industries I think AI will have a significant impact on:
Marketing
AI could be used to create personalized marketing campaigns. Not only for cold outreach bud also for online advertising.
Customer Support
AI-powered chatbots trained on your data from the helpdesk and knowledge base can handle a high volume of customer inquiries 24/7.
Content Distribution
I understand why SEOs are against AI-generated content. But how about using AI to repurpose dozens of articles you have written already?
What are your thoughts? What do you think? What industry or market will AI have the most significant impact on?
BONUS: There is one more! Fitness. I helped a friend to create a Personalized AI Fitness Coach 💪😎
It's live on Product Hunt today, and we would appreciate your feedback & support. 🙏
Hi Ivan,congrats on the launch.
I have been following AI tools for a while now as we are building an AI tools directory (https://topai.tools) and from what I am seeing every day AI will disrupt all the industries that you mentioned, I can generalize and say anything that produces a written content or communication (NLP) will be disrupted , in addition to many life assistant roles like your app (and food related, fitness, travel planning, choosing what to read, gift selection, education etc). Software Development isn't very far as well (not in terms of replacement yet but helpers). Business applications are endless as well. Just my thoughts as of now :)
Great feedback! Thank you for sharing the insights.
Can you share how many projects are listed per category in your directory?
Interesting question, need to break it down but from the top of my mind currently at 1300 tools in total with most of them around the big themes like content creation/seo, video creation/editing, image generation/editing, summarization in different forms, code assistants, chatbots and social media assistants. Will try to get a detailed break down though. Also about 5-10 new submissions per day. I'm expecting the new chatgpt API to have an impact.
Thanks! I think these data are valuable. Your project looks great! Excellent timing, growing market, keep up good work! 👏
I come from a fintech background and I agree that AI disruption will be more than NFT. I have experienced ChatGPT myself and foresee it will deliver a foundational change in how we live and work. It feels the same when the first smartphone was released. It will be like every household has computer, then every human has mobile phone, then... every human will have access to additional AI intelligence.
When you mention about "Content Distribution", I believe in the future the news/article that I read will be tailored made for myself, it will be different from yours. That news will be written by AI in real-time as and when I read the news/article. The news/article will be interactive, where I can clarify whether this is what the news/article means in real time. For instance, let's say it is an NBA news, if I am more interested about the team, then the news will be about the score/result of the game. But if I am more interested about specific individual, then the news will be focusing on how that individual performs in the game.
@XanderTan that is super smart thinking . Would be a delight for me.
Perhaps a resurgence of stunning investigative journalism, editorial pieces versus "copy and paste another news medium" -- Integrity back into journalism.
Great comment. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Super question! thankyou.
Overnight the internet became a more enjoyable place thanks to ChatGPT Plus! I've stopped using Google search. No more SEO manipulation, nonsense marketing. Now have a distraction free environment and my ability to focus has improved.
This the no 1 disruption. We are nearing a tipping point in our history. I agree with @XanderTan it is an iphone moment.
Generative AI is disrupting SEO, and its strangle-hold on "internet" will decline. SEO has caused the fake traffic syndrome and several interaction patterns (fake upvoting, fake reviews, fake comments) . This will means making trust an essential design element (adopting radical transparency) will rise. Low trust platforms will decline, those platforms that easily gamed will ultimately disappear.
I personally will stay with chatgpt pure like solution rather than integrated AI into search. For me its like when I left windows for apple. It took me to realise how constrained windows had made me think, as apple ways is more human for me, intuitive. Having the same experience as searching in chatgpt plus.
Lastly, from a deeply personal standpoint, ChatGPT Plus has helped me overcome my poor articulation and given me the confidence to write online. It's a game-changer for people like me, or where english is not their native tongue.
I think the content production industry will likely change the most, especially with AI image generation and text generation.
Hoping to be part of leading that change with Evoke!
