For too long, the shift to digital payments has inadvertently left tips as an afterthought. Remember the days of that satisfying clink of coins? With cash becoming rarer than a sunny day in Manchester (sorry, couldn't resist! 😉), those spontaneous acts of gratitude have dwindled, impacting the hard-working folks who rely on tips to boost their income.
That's where airtip steps in! We're on a mission to reignite the culture of tipping in this digital-first era. Think of us as the friendly, secure, and feature-packed way for customers to say a big "thank you" to their favourite barista, delivery driver, hairdresser, or anyone providing an awesome service.
Why have we built airtip? Because we've seen firsthand the impact the decline of cash has had. We believe that hard work deserves recognition, and airtip makes it effortless for customers to show their appreciation, just like the good old days.
What's our story so far? We're a lean and mean team of three co-founders who've bootstrapped our way to a £50k investment. We're also incredibly excited to have a £1 million secured asset backing us to help fuel our growth across the UK. This isn't just a side hustle for us; we're all in on making airtip a household name.
