Colonel Harland Sanders worked dozens of jobs before fried chicken ever entered the picture — farmhand, streetcar conductor, insurance salesman, gas station operator. None of it stuck for long.
Eventually he started cooking fried chicken out of a small roadside service station. People loved it. Then a new highway bypassed his restaurant entirely, customers disappeared, and the business collapsed. He was in his 60s at that point, an age where most people would've called it quits.
Colonel Sanders got in his car with his recipe instead. He drove across America, restaurant after restaurant, pitch after pitch. Hundreds of rejections, then hundreds more. Some owners laughed him off. Some weren't interested. Others figured the idea would never work. He kept driving, kept knocking, kept cooking, kept believing (persistence at this level is honestly wild lol).
Eventually one restaurant said yes. Then another. Then another. The licensing model spread, and that simple recipe eventually became KFC — one of the largest restaurant brands on the planet. 🚗
People remember the success. They forget the thousands of miles, the empty hotel rooms, the closed doors, the years nobody believed him. That part is what actually built the empire.
A few things Colonel Sanders teaches:
Rejection isn't the opposite of success
It's often the path to it.
Consistency beats talent
Not everyone needs to believe in you. You just need to keep showing up until someone does.
It's never too late to build something meaningful
The calendar doesn't decide your future. Persistence does.
The takeaway:
Don't quit because the results are slow. Most breakthroughs happen right after the point where most people give up. Life rewards the person who keeps showing up long after everyone else has stopped.
That's exactly what I amplify..
