Lifebeat - A new way to journal.

Hi there IndieHackers!

Curious to get some feedback on the landing page for lifebeat.

LINK: https://www.lifebeat.app

About the app:
Lifebeat is a micro-journalling app.
Made for people that want to actively track their mental health & emotional state. But even more, help you store your trajectory trough life.

Many of us feel like we're stuck. Many of us feel like we aren't making progress. And if we do: it's sad that we can't look back on key moments in our journey for reflecting, or learning purposes.

We all know that keeping a journal can help us deal with the daily challenges of life. And that it can help us learn about ourselves and our lives faster.

Lifebeat makes journalling effortless. Instead of sitting down each day to write 5 pages in a textbook, with lifebeat, you add beats whenever you feel like you want to store a memory, feeling about someone, a sad moment, and more.

But journalling in and of itself isn't enough.

Lifebeat also helps you reflect.
For every beat your 'lifebeat' (or graph) gets a new entry. Showing you your emotional trajectory trough life. Saving all your ups & downs. in a beautiful view.

Lifebeat also tags your beats with feelings, people you name, and more.
This allows you to see trends, groupings, highlights and more of your life.

And last, but not least:
You can share your graph with people you care about. You seeing theirs, them seeing yours. Whether they can see what you wrote is completely up to you, of course. This feature might be the one I'm most exited about. Being able to see that your sister hasn't been feeling well lately, even if she's on the other side of the world...

The first beta test feedback has been amazing so far. And I cannot wait to see where this project will go.

I welcome all feedback, positive & negative.

Have a great day,

    Hi @ChristianYke

I like the idea here is my feedback to the lading page.

My first impressions was why should I join the waitlist at the very top? I have no idea what the product is or does for me. The "A new way to..." is generic and there is no product shot, so I do not know what to expect.
    I would put the part

    "A visual
    history and
    journal for
your life." with the screenshot at the top

Last CTA "Join the waitlist now to get 10 years of storage for free."
What? Why storage? For what? My thoughts:
"Get xyz for free means there's other stuff I have to pay for, I do not know exactly what the product is, so I am not signing up for this." :)

    Good luck!

Hi Christiaan, really neat app! I have a friend who does this kind of data analysis on their journal entries, they said it can uncover a lot of interesting insights.

Here's some feedback on the landing page content:

    • Data privacy / security: I noticed that the page didn't mention anything about data privacy / security. When I'm considering an app or website for journaling, that's one of the most important factors for me. Specifically, I want to make sure that the creators of the app can't read my entries, that my data isn't shared with any third parties, and there's robust security in place (2FA, encryption, etc.). If the service is free, I like to see an FAQ of how the company makes money to make sure that I'm not the product (but it looks like Lifebeat isn't free?). I might also skim the privacy policy. Basically, max paranoid mode because of how sensitive this data is.

    • Waitlist offer: I think it could also be helpful to add some pricing information to make the waitlist offer more enticing: "Join the waitlist now to get 10 years of storage for free." How much is it normally? How much will I have to pay after 10 years? Since the offer is only for the first 1000 people who join the waitlist, I think it'd be helpful to show how many people have joined the waitlist so far (as long as it's more than like ~100 people or so) to increase the urgency + social proof.

    • Headline copy: I think the headline is a little too generic right now: "A new way to [journal/grow/care]". I don't get a clear picture of the impact of using Lifebeat. Maybe something along these lines could work as an alternative?: "Uncover your hidden patterns in just 5 minutes a day"

      Hi Malena,

      Thanks for your detailed response!
You mention a lot of very good points. The landing page is a bit indeed a bit 'simple' at this stage.

I will implement your feedback in the coming days.

      Thanks again! Very much appreciated.
