    Light when daylight
    Dark at night

      ☀️ 🌙

Dark, but strongly would suggest to follow user's preferred mode.

      Customer’s always right!

I went with dark mode for my latest project to differentiate from competitors. I also hate when I’m surfing at night on dark mode apps and a link leads to a bright white website. The opposite doesn’t hurt the eyes.

That’s cool, totally agree on the blinding! 😭

I chose full dark mode on http://midnight.pub

This is cool, agree with your choice!

It definitely depends on manu things.

    • Audience.
    • What time of the day is used.
    • Context.
    • Typo of website.

And more that I am missing. If you want an example here is my sideproject https://www.colorsandfonts.com look at the darkmode.

I made tiny post about dark mode ecsmples https://dev.to/michaelandreuzza/dark-mode-examples-for-your-next-project-in-2020-136k

So true, love that lightbulb switch on your site, great examples too!

  6. 2

Is there an option for both? 😉

    1. 2

      haha, should have added that!

Depends on what your building - if it's text heavy go light

    1. 1

      Good point!

  8. 2

Both, and have the website change theme automatically depending on the time reported by the browser...

    1. 1

Nice! Yeah, that’s a smart feature to have available

  9. 2

If my projects are very visual intensive. Dark theme is nice

If it’s more text based. Light theme is the way I go.

Cool! Good point, some things look a lot better light vs dark mode
