Lime Boost for easy AWS infra management

Why I’m Building This

Some years ago I was going to test my side project on AWS Cloud. I signed up and started to study what to do. I didn't know what is S3, IAM, EC2,.. It was complicated and I didn't have time to study all that. I was a freelance consultant at that time and my next project started, and I forgot the whole thing.

At some point I was watching a demo where someone was using AWS API. Immediately I thought that deploying to AWS should be easy. I got the idea to make software where there would just be some buttons from which to choose the needed infrastructure.

I didn't have time for it until my latest freelance gig was about to finish. Then I decided that now is time to do something for my project. I did some early state prototype and showed it to everyone who wanted to see it, and some others too! I belong to the Software Finland association and discussed about my software with other members in the meet-ups. I got valuable advice, for example I shouldn't aim to Finnish market first, I should do it in English and target it to the international market.

Where I’m At Now

I've released MVP in https://Limeboost.io It runs on AWS CloudFront and S3. It includes functionality for managing AWS Cloud infrastructure for webpages and frontend applications. I've deployed Lime Boost on AWS using Lime Boost. I'm still working with the functionality to manage backend infra . It works on my laptop but there is some work to do to get it ready for users.
