Lintract Week 2: 40 cold emails, 0 replies, 98 homepage visits. Here's what the data actually says.

Two weeks in. Still no sales. But the numbers are starting to tell a story.

What happened this week:

  • 20 more cold emails sent (shifted from staffing agencies to construction contractors and healthcare staffing)
  • 3 Reddit replies (shadowbanned on new account, building karma)
  • 2 tweets
  • Shipped the VIN model: first red flag visible before payment
  • Improved privacy messaging and hero layout based on IH feedback

The analytics (2 weeks total):

  • 98 homepage visits
  • 30 visits to /analyze (31% conversion from landing to upload page)
  • 8 visits to /results pages (people actually ran analyses)
  • Blog posts getting some traction: Fiverr analysis, Upwork analysis

The 31% landing → analyze conversion is actually decent. The drop is at payment.

What I learned this week:

Cold email to staffing agencies = wrong motion for a $12 impulse buy. Multiple people said it here, and the silence confirmed it. Shifted to construction and healthcare contractors — higher WTP, more direct pain.

The IH post from week 1 drove most of the traffic. Reddit is blocked by karma wall. Twitter is too new to matter yet.

The real insight: people are visiting, some are running analyses, nobody is paying. That's a conversion problem, not a traffic problem. The next two weeks are about finding where the pain is live enough to trigger a $12 impulse decision.

Week 3 plan: double down on intent-based channels. Find the person holding the contract right now.

    I see the conversion math you're working through — 98 visits, 31% hit the analyze step, $0 paid. That's a specific wall: the people willing to try aren't converting to pay.

    One thing jumped out on the LP: your only social proof before the $12 ask is "Trusted by freelancers in the US, India, and 40+ countries." That's geography. For someone being asked to upload an actual contract to a tool they've never heard of, geography doesn't answer "has this worked for someone like me?"

    The fix is one string change — swap it for your real analysis number or a real quote:

    Before: "Trusted by freelancers in the US, India, and 40+ countries."

    After (option A — use your actual dashboard count): "[X] contracts analyzed · Trusted by freelancers in 40+ countries"

    After (option B — if you have a quote from this thread or email): "'Found a clause that would have cost me the entire project.' — Freelancer, US"

    Either version answers "has this worked?" in the same space. One edit, no design work.
