We launched with PitchGround on September first with a goal to make podcasting easy for everyone and thus far, we have 40 users who benefit from using Listnr!
Thank you for your support!
Hey
what is your sales progress during this time?
Should I launch deal on pitchground or appsumo?
if you could choose appsumo instead of pitchground?
Hmm, good question
I'd definitely go with AppSumo, although the decision depends on what your profit margins are and what you're looking to do.
PitchGround will get you low 5 figures in sales in 3 months with a 55/45 cut, AppSumo will get you 6 figures in sales in one month with a 70/30 split.
as an alternative there is an appsumo new feature - marketplace, where you get 70% and appsumo takes 30%
but if the product is new(just starting to grow), does it make sense at the beginning to go to pitchground and then go to appsumo?
I watched the pitground youtube channel and only a few products got thousands of views
others very few
here is a new product in the top pitch ground with only few hundred views
So did you end up with a 5 figures in sales for those three months,
or did you give the data just an example?
this year, because of the epidemic, sales fell for everyone?
That's what we did, launched with PG for a month and then went on to AS, we did end up doing low 5 Figures in the first month.
What's your product?
BTW really like the video of listnr! did you invent and film it yourself? I am delighted with the idea and simplicity!
thanks for the answer!
how did you get around the PG restriction that you can not run deals on other sites(AS) any earlier than 90 days from the date of the end of the deal on PG?
my product is not public yet(as soon as I publish the product I will tell you here)
but I got an offer from PG, but also from
AS but starting at AS marketplace(that's a new feature at AS)
so I need to decide - since there is this temporary gap in 90 days - everyone(PG and AS) wants to sell exclusively, but there is no guarantee of sales and I need to choose the right first step
Hmm I'd say go for AS Marketplace and then when you perform, go for a Deal with AS.
If your product hasn't launched yet, I'd say don't go with PG. Ultimately you want only one LTD, with either PG or AS. Going with both doesn't look tbh, made that mistake.
With AS Marketplace you have an advantage, you can promote your product on LTD group's and iterate using the feedback (keeping 70%) once you've gotten a good amount of users, try pitching AS for a deal.
thanks for your detailed answer
I thought something like this, but I doubted
groups of LTD are not very happy about the posts of AS deals as I know it
Any advice?
with the AS marketplace, you need to promote deal yourself, as I understand it offer, in order to get the first reviews, and only then they will help with promotion in their FB group
Well, a few groups are open to it, if you talk to the admins first.
Once you see 10+ sales, all you need is one review to get things going.
