🚀 LiteTracker – a lightweight PM tool inspired by Pivotal Tracker

For years, our team used Pivotal Tracker as our main project management tool. When the shutdown was announced, we started searching for alternatives. We tried a few of the well-known tools out there, but none felt quite right for the simple, agile flow we were used to.

That’s when we decided to build LiteTracker — not as a clone, but as a way to keep the same workflow alive: lightweight, agile, with real-time updates, labels, and a shared dashboard.

By the time Pivotal Tracker officially reached end-of-life on April 30, 2025, we already had our inspired version up and running with the core features ready. Since then, it’s grown stable, supported, and steadily improving. Today, LiteTracker is running hundreds of projects and helping teams of all sizes stay organized and productive.

Curious if anyone else here felt the same gap after PT ended — what tool did you switch to, and why?

What tools do you use at all and why?

Happy to answer any questions about how we built LiteTracker — tech stack, design decisions, or what we’ve learned so far running it in production.
We’ve tried to keep it simple but powerful, and I’d love to hear what other builders value most in their PM tools.
