Live: just posted a link to my blog on HN, 140-150 active users on site

I just posted my blog couple of hours ago. And linked to that blog article on LinkedIn, Twitter, IH, HN, ... usual things... same things as always... except there are constantly 140-150 active users on my site coming from the HN, for a couple of hours now. Few thousands so far.
Just wanted to share with all of you, will write an article about this and will post it here.
Have any of those users converted for you? Those sites have brought in large amounts of traffic for me in the past, but conversions were pretty low so I tend not to focus there anymore.
Conversion rate from this HN burst was 0.17%; to compare, IH conversion rate is 1.64%.
I would also like to hear which channels are you using now.
Still trying to figure out a good channel, to be honest. Lots of experimentation going on right now, but Adwords seems to be doing the best.
I've had a similar experience - traffic is great, but with sites like HN there's little chance to iterate and tweak your message to make it convert better - it's a one shot thing.
Which channels have you moved on to?
I'm also B2B SaaS and I'm putting more effort into content and app stores for my integrations.
As I told @guideblocks,
I'm currently doing cold emails (not much success here because they've usually already implemented licensing by the time I hear about them), Adwords, and joining small niche software communities that I think may get value from Keygen. As much as I dislike writing long-form, I think I may try out content marketing soon, as I haven't given that a whirl yet and I need to get in front of people before they launch their product.
