🚀 Live on Buy Me a Coffee. Any tips?
Hi everyone!
Earlier today I signed up for an account on Buymeacoffee.com. I plan to use it as my platform to receive donations for open source projects that I’m working on.
Just for fun, I checked out a few other creators’ pages and saw how many supporters they had. 🤩
I would appreciate if you share some feedback regarding my page or any other tips you have. Hopefully this will help me improve the rate of donations.

I think it's less about your Buy Me a Coffee page and more about where/when you share it with fans of your projects. For example, if you have Twitter following, you might link to it after sharing an update to one of your projects. Or if you have a newsletter, link to it at the end of each email and explicitly say "If you like my projects it would mean a lot to me if you'd buy me a coffee". People with lots of supporters tend to be people who have a decent size audience and who regularly remind their audience they need their support.

These platforms are nice thing to generate some "nice feelings". That's how I call it. Because it's not regular income, rather occasional. I have something similar. And it depends on the audience. I agree with @Gabe, it's not about the page itself but where you plug it. People don't explore BuyMeACoffee (or Ko-Fi or others) pages randomly. They visit those pages on purpose, when they already decide to support you.
don't get me wrong, I'm encouraging everyone to set up something like this. I, myself have one. but to get some money, you need to constantly produce things
