Local markets directory

I’ve been working on a project called MarketsGuide.

The idea came from something simple: finding markets was harder than it should be. Most of them live on Facebook or scattered websites, and you’re never really sure what’s actually on until you show up.

So I started building a single place where people can see what’s on, reliably, and decide where to go without digging through posts or guessing.

Right now I’m focused on:

• building out listings (starting with a few regions)

• structuring pages around “this weekend” and “near me” intent

• letting organisers manage their own listings so info stays current

It’s still early, but the goal is pretty straightforward... Make local markets easier to find and worth planning around.

Keen to hear if anyone’s tackled something similar, especially around marketplaces or keeping event data accurate over time.
