Local SEO is pixelated. I’m building the HD version (21x21 grids)

In 2026, Google's Map Pack is a street-level battleground. A business can rank #1 at its front door and #15 just two blocks away. The problem? Most SEO tools still provide a vague, low-resolution overview that misses these crucial boundaries.

That's why I'm building Geogrid.

I wanted to create a tool for agencies that need surgical precision without the bloated SaaS subscriptions. It’s been a grind, but I’ve finally integrated the features I was missing elsewhere:

  • 21x21 High-Res Grids: 441 data points to see exactly where rankings drop.

  • Adaptive Scanning: The engine gets denser in "war zones" and skips "dead zones" to save user credits.

  • Water Detection: Because fish don't need plumbers (it automatically skips scanning oceans and lakes).

The Milestone: I just checked my first real data batch. Seeing the first 17 active users and the initial impressions climb on Search Console was a huge win. It’s a niche market, but the feedback so far confirms that precision is a real pain point.

I'm currently at the stage where I'm balancing "feature requests" (citations, reviews) vs. staying a "specialized surgical tool."

I'd love your take: If you were launching a niche SEO tool today, would you stay lean and specialized, or try to build an "all-in-one" suite to compete with the giants?
