Hey IH! I just launched logging.cheap — a log aggregation service built around one idea: storing and searching logs shouldn't cost hundreds of dollars a month.
The problem
Log aggregation tools are expensive. Pricing scales with volume, so you end up deleting logs too early, sampling aggressively, or just not logging things you should. Small teams and side projects get hit the hardest.
What I built
logging.cheap stores logs in cheap cloud storage and searches them on demand with streaming. No persistent indexes running up your bill.
Who it's for
Startups and indie hackers who want real logging without the big bill
Side projects that deserve better than tail -f
Audit logging where you store a lot but query occasionally
It's still free right now and I'm looking for early adopters to kick the tires. If you've been putting off setting up proper logging because of cost, give it a shot and let me know what you think.
