Londoners, introduce yourself here 👋

Any Londoners on here? Introduce yourself in the comments 🤠

I'm Charlie, your trusty mod for the London group.

I run indielondon.co: free monthly in-person meetups, a Slack and newsletter for the local Indie Hackers scene.

Looking forward to chatting :)

Hi! Debbie here. I'm a PM at an edtech startup, and before that, at the giant blue social media company. I'm currently developing a chatbot that helps people bake, but I'm having an existential crisis whether it's going to work. Meanwhile I started to gather followers on Instagram by sharing baking tips (instagram.com/kitchen.bible) which surprisingly became quite popular. Would love to join any meet up!

Hello @debbie_w, we actually have a remote meetup tomorrow if you're free https://hopin.to/events/indie-london-indiebeers-july-2020 but if not, sign-up to our mailing list at indieldn.com to find out about future ones.

Checked out the crumb bot and there seems to be a broken link, I'm very curious though!

      1. 2

I edited the link - I changed the name to move away from the bot :) I can't join tomorrow but I'll join the Slack chat for future events! Thanks

    Hello London!

I'm new to IH and relatively new to London (just moved here in August) so look forward to engaging with this group and sharing stories and ideas. I'm a risk management consultant who is trying to move from in-person to online services so building a blog, courses (andrewsheves.com) and software (dcdr.io).

I've done lots of building so far but not so much selling which is where I'm trying to improve.

I'm looking forward to any future meet ups, maybe even gasp in person some day. (Still my beating heart....)

Hi! Matthew here. I have just come across this site. I founded my second successful consulting business years ago. I am now very interested in pursuing new ideas and projects. I live in London and Kent. My company has spare funds and other resources to pursue projects. It would be great to connect.

Hi all! new to IH and the indie world as a whole. I currently work at a startup in London, before that I worked at a slightly more succesful startup which was acquired - this is where I discovered my passion for business. I'm currently building my first product which is launching soon, would love to connect with some of you and expand my network! https://twitter.com/ldunne_

    1. 1

Welcome, Liam. What's your initial product?

Hi everyone, I'm james. I've recently founded Tend - an online farmers market to get fresh, great-tasting, seasonal food from small, sustainable farmers delivered to your door. We've launched in South West London (currently we deliver anywhere with an SW postcode) but are hoping to expand across London soon.

Welcome, James. This looks great, I've been thinking of joining a service like it. Signing up.

      1. 2

Thanks Charlie. Let me know if you have any questions or feedback!

Hi fellow indie Londoners, I'm David Founder & CEO of Repatch. Repatch is an on-demand electronic repair delivery service that connects users with technicians in their local area. I'm kind of new to the indie Hackers community, so hi again 👋🏽

  12. 2

Hi fellow Londoners! 👋 I'm Katya, a UX designer and product strategy advisor at the London branch of a large tech vendor. I'm doing consulting, UX design, and user research for start-ups and scale-ups by day, and mentoring businesses and fellow designers by night. I also write for UX Collective and speak at product meetups occasionally (hoping this will return to offline soon!)

Right now I'm out of London, but planning to return in September. Will be happy to connect with like-minded designers, developers, and makers in general! You can also find me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/8katyako

    1. 2

Hey @8katyako, welcome. Will give you a follow on Twitter :) If you sign-up to our newsletter at indieldn.com you can be alerted about future meetups, but we try to keep them monthly.

Hey fellow Londoners! Great to see a dedicated group to our city on IH.

I am a Software Engineer (front-endn focused) consulting for various financial institutions by day, making a data-collection productized service by night. Maybe SaaS in the future :) On the side, I also blog often about programming and front-end stuff.

Unfortunately, I've never joined one of your meetups but I intend to. Hopefully, grab a beer too once this is over :)

    1. 1

Hey @gc :) the productised service sounds interesting, what kind of data do you collect?

Great to hear you're interested in the meetups, we have a remote one tomorrow actually https://hopin.to/events/indie-london-indiebeers-july-2020

Hello, I'm Pablo. I've been listening to IH for many years and participating on the site on and off. I have (co-)founded various startups including 1 that was sold. I'm a technical person and even though I have a full time job I'm searching for a side project startup to work on next. I'm interested in B2B SaaS.

    1. 1

Hey Pablo - welcome! Any particular industry or user you want to build a SaaS for?

      1. 2

Nope, I'm quite flexible when it comes to that. Ideally I'd like to do something for SMEs. I'm not a fan of enterprise sales and what it does to a product.

        1. 1

Got you Pablo. Well I'm definitely curious to hear your progress! There are more London based Indie Hackers on the Indie London Slack btw, let me know if you want an invite.

          1. 1

Yeah, I definitely do. I believe I signed up for one, but I haven't received it yet.
