Looking for a Business Partner

I am looking for a salesperson/business partner who can work on leads for my custom software development agency. I am looking to scale the business. The payment is a percentage based on the accepted project. I am also interested in finding a long-term partner with which I can grow this business.

You can reach me here: https://novustechlab.com/

there are no DM's here, leave some contacts if you want people to get in touch.
Don't think you can find anyone here that knows what custom software is (excluding the tech people), or how to sell such a thing, but good luck with the search :)

People that work within the industry should know. And those are the ones I am targeting so I feel that this is a good filter.

that's what I meant, the "People that work within the industry" are tech only, the sales ones are 99%, scam artists and you already lost them with %, not salary (you will receive a lot of offers for base salary + % ).
I'm in the same "industry" as you, doing custom software solutions for 15+ years (the last 10 with companies in the UK), and only a few channels are working,
the main one referrals or connections
the secondary one bidding for public contracts
the third one, standard sales marketing gambling (email, ad campaigns, etc..)
and relying on pure luck for someone to find you

My experience exactly so far !

From the perspective of a sales guy. To be honest I don't mind the percentage. Real sales guys that have earned their keep most often work on commission only. I'd be willing to contribute to a project of this kind. I guess the biggest problem with customer software outfits is the USP is often "we can do anything", which is hard to sell. Without a niche down value prop, it's really hard to get the sales wheels turning. I'm always open to having more convos on this and definitely down to open a dialogue about it. The biggest wall I've run into with these types of offers is that while there's an immense amount of value that can be offered with these services to companies, it's all about developing the right hooks to get key stakeholders engaged. Better to know the problem of the market or niche down to specific problems than sell a come one come all. My 2cents from a real Sales guy

    btw Hey @petrovn

you absolutely right, "we can do anything" is not exactly marketing friendly, but with custom software is more about finding customers without existing products and that is not that easy especially when you account for the price tag for the custom software.
But hey, I specialize in Ticket Sales, POS, Warehouse & Logistics Management, Restaurant & Hospitality, or at least in these areas I have built a few big systems (almost the entire UK railways food service is practically running on my software).
So find me a company that has a +500k new system budget or is ready to spend at least 200k on software and I will be happy to share the profits 50/50.
you can't get a proper contract without connections in the specific industry, so instead of looking for a niche product (or company that concentrates in something specific), find a customer with money, then you will see that "we can do anything" works perfectly fine :)
definitely sounds easier to sell off the shelf SaaS subscriptions for 20$ each, right :)

from one my previous ventures, I've identified 2 products that are seriously needed. @petrovn

        1. Is a simple solution that has been validated by ad dollars of which there's an interested market out there willing to signup. We should talk about this.

        2. A solution I see people asking to be built all the time, yet there's an opening to be able to do this with saas.

It's been too long since our last talk Petrov let's talk.

those $20 a month add up and when you build a solid subscriber base it's makes you way more attractive to be acquired than a software agency that get's a whale every now and then.
