Looking for a Dev Partner or Freelancer (Equity/Co-founder) to Build Social Impact App
Hi Indie Hackers,
I'm Lungisani, the founder of VisualHand, a smart SOS/emergency alert app built for crime & GBV prevention, elderly care, and vulnerable users (disabled, sick, etc.).
The goal is to protect people during real-world danger — using a simple app that instantly alerts family, friends, or response centers with their live GPS location and vital info.
We're at the early prototype stage, and I'm looking for a:
🔹 React/Firebase Developer (web or mobile)
🔹 Someone interested in building a real MVP (dummy or functional)
🔹 Open to equity, future revenue share, or joining as a co-founder
We’ve already started building and have branding, UX ideas, Firebase setup, and a full business plan in progress. I just need a passionate developer who sees the mission and wants to make an impact while also growing with a startup.

Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in the VisualHand project — I truly appreciate it.
VisualHand is a personal safety and emergency alert solution designed to help prevent crime and gender-based violence. The system enables users to send instant SOS alerts with live GPS tracking, vocal/manual activation, and tamper-proof deactivation. It’s designed for high-risk individuals, caregivers, and institutions.
At this stage, we’ve:
Completed the core UI and branding (neon blue on black theme with a glowing hand logo),
Built demonstration visuals showing how the app works,
Connected the interface to Firebase for authentication and backend setup,
Defined our development roadmap, revenue model, and financial projections.
We're currently preparing for prototype testing and fundraising to develop a working version of the mobile APK and expand key features like alert history and accessibility tools.

Voici quelques retours et suggestions qui, je l’espère, pourront t’aider à faire avancer VisualHand :
💡 Vision et utilité
Tu as une proposition de valeur claire et un positionnement socialement utile. C’est un gros plus. Ce type d’outil peut générer un réel impact s’il est bien intégré dans le quotidien des utilisateurs. Peut-être que tu pourrais accentuer un peu plus la différenciation avec les apps déjà existantes (comme Noonlight, BeSafe, etc.) : Qu’est-ce qui rend VisualHand unique ? Techniquement ou humainement ?
🧪 MVP et développement
Tu recherches un développeur React/Firebase, ce qui est cohérent avec ton stack de démarrage. Pour maximiser tes chances :
Es-tu ouvert à construire un MVP no-code/low-code comme première version testable ? (Bubble, Flutterflow, ou Adalo + Firebase fonctionnent bien dans ce contexte)
Si tu cherches un cofondateur technique, clarifie un peu plus le niveau d’engagement souhaité : contribution à temps partiel ? equity-only ? etc.
🤝 Suggestions concrètes
Poste également sur les communautés ciblées comme FoundersCoffee, r/CoFounders, ou des Slack comme celui de NoCodeDevs si tu veux explorer le MVP autrement.
Intégrer un mockup interactif (via Figma ou Marvel) dans ta communication permettrait à d’éventuels développeurs de mieux s’immerger dans la vision produit dès le premier contact.
Un pitch vidéo en cours, c’est super ! Une petite version teaser de 30s peut déjà booster l’engagement.
En tout cas, bravo pour ta démarche, et si tu veux brainstormer ensemble ou obtenir un retour sur ton pitch ou ton plan produit, je suis partant ✌️
