Looking for a group of 3-6 indiehackers to work on a side project together

Anyone out there interesting in working together on a small side project? I'd really like to find a couple of people with complementary skill sets to work on small projects from concept to completion. I'm not trying to get people to work on my own ideas for free - we can brainstorm as a group to come up with an initial project.

When I say a side project in this context, I'm talking about a very narrow scope web development project. It may be profitable or simply for fun and getting to know each other. More ambitious projects could happen in the future if the team works well together, but I would prefer something simple to begin with. Ideally we can get a well rounded mix of skills.

If you're interested, please reply with some details about yourself. You can also use the email in my profile.

About me: Day job in civil engineering, unrelated to web development. Able to commit about 10 hr/week. Regular timezone is US/Pacific, but I'm currently in Shanghai for the next month. I started programming in MATLAB in my master thesis, and then moved on to learn web development. I'm comfortable with Angular and javascript, html, css, matlab; familiar with golang; learning python. I can make a functional app, but not a pretty one.

    Hi Jeremy,

I’d be interested In joining as well.
My name is Adriaan, I’m from South Africa.
I’m a junior software developer, I do not have a degree, everything I know is self taught. I recently started learning web development and I’m busy with a project that uses Vue.js for the frontend and Express/Node.js for the backend. I also started using NativeScript for the mobile client. I know a bit Python as well. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m a very fast learner, and would love to join in order to sharpen my skills and am sure I would be able to learn a lot. I’m also very ambitious and love new projects.

    Hi Jeremy,

I'll chime in as well; my name is Mo, I'm a full stack developer with about two years of experience based out of Toronto, Canada but I prefer working on the front end as that is where I started my coding career and I am most familiar. I code mostly in Javascript using React, and use Node/Express on the back-end, and I've built personal projects with noSQL/GCP (Firebase). I've still a ways to go in learning more as a developer and would love to contribute as part of a team to pick up some more skills -- have already started my next self-teaching foray into Python and would love to learn the ropes of AWS. Let me know if I can be of assistance! [email protected]

    Hello, my name is Joffrey.

I am a Belgian Backend Developer currently working at Fintech startup focusing on the sustainable heat market. Me and 4 coworkers (including 2 co-owners) do all the development work, together we are building a SaaS platform and already have international clients. I myself am a backend developer with knowledge of frontend (I prefer backend).
To deliver our service we are using the Microsofts Azure platform, a platform I grew quite comfortable with and am expanding my knowledge of each day.

The technologies I use on a daily basis are the following.
    • .NET Core
    ASP.NET Core
    • CosmosDB/ MongoDB, I know SQL but if prefer non SQL solutions
    • Azure functions
    • CQRS/MediatR
    • Etc.

I think the future lies in progressive web apps and I like to contribute to well thought of side project.

I'll toss my hat in the ring :) I'm Dan, currently working as the senior software developer at a small managed services provider. I have experience in scoping & design and development as well as project management and devops.

I am a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer with experience in many different technologies / platforms such as:

    • .NET Framework / .NET Core
    • Golang (for the innovative)
    • Server Side patterns such as MVC, WebForms, Inline Scripting etc..
    • Client side technologies such as Desktop Applications, HTML, Javascript etc...
    • MySQL / SQL Server
    • MongoDB / ElasticSearch / Firestore / CosmosDB
    • Azure, GCP & AWS
    • Docker & Kubernetes
    • The list goes on but I probably already sound pretty braggadocious

I am open to ideas and collaboration, ideally when profitable but have been known to just work on something fun from time to time. Please feel free to reach out, would love to hear if any clear ideas are starting to come out or to organize a more real time discussion some time.

Hey everyone, I'm Louis from Hamburg, Germany.
I'm a Product Manager coming from a marketing background, know SQL and Javascript (Node / React) but tend to leave the coding to people more skilled at it than I am. I am currently working full-time as Head of Product for a small Startup, where I manage a team of remote Developers.

    • experience in working with remote teams
    • can contribute on strategy and product
    • able to commit roughly 10h / week

Would love to join and get some experience in building and launching a fun side project!
