Looking for a Partner who Can Work with a Servant's Mindset: A Strategy for Entering the US Market

Hello, Indie Hackers!

I'm a full-stack software developer and team leader from the UK. My team has been developing products for the Korean market, but now we're gearing up for a bigger goal: entering the US market.

However, I've taken a different approach than the typical "build first, ask later" approach. It may sound paradoxical, but I believe that to be rich, you must work with a servant mindset.

Let me explain what I mean.

A "Servant Mindset" Strategy
Rather than trying to guess what US users want domestically, I believe that serving the US system first is the fastest path to success. As a developer, I want to establish myself in the US software industry.

I aim to work closely with US companies, customers, and partners to achieve the following goals:

Understanding Nuances: Truly understand the mindset, consumption patterns, and software adoption habits of US customers.

Identifying Challenges: Identifying market gaps directly from an insider's perspective.

Building Trust: Demonstrate your technical skills and work ethic before asking for investment in my vision.

Ultimately, I want to learn how to contribute to and lead the US market.

What I Can Offer: I lead a passionate, skilled, and efficient development team. I am looking to enter the US software market and am seeking a US development partner to do so.

This is a partnership proposal. I am not simply looking for customers; I am looking for collaborators who are willing to build long-term business relationships.

Three Key Insights for Entering the US Market (From an Outsider's Perspective)
Before I reach out, I'd like to share a few observations I've made about entering the US market. If we were to collaborate, I want you to know that I consider the following:

The "currency" of trust is speed and reliability.
The US technology market is rapidly changing. It's not enough for an overseas partner to simply be "great." They must be able to respond asynchronously and autonomously. You don't have to wake up at 3 a.m. to manage me. I want to be a synergistic force within your team, not a dependent entity.

We need a "glocal" approach.
The idea should be global, but the execution should be local. Even if you have a perfect feature set for US users, I need your insights to ensure the UX design, payment integration, and workflow truly meet their expectations. I provide the code, and you provide the context.

Don't just develop features. Build a competitive advantage.
I'm not just focused on writing clean code (though I believe that's important). My goal is to build a system that supports your business growth. I want to create a technical foundation that acts as a moat, allowing you to iterate faster than your competitors.

What kind of partner are you looking for?
I'm looking for a US-based partner or agency that requires a dedicated development lead or team. I'm particularly interested in working with the following two types of partners:

Startup Founders or CTOs: Digital agencies with a large number of features to develop, need to expand their teams, or are looking for a reliable white-label development partner.

Side Hustlers: Those looking to generate additional income while working full-time. Those with great ideas, customer acquisition, or passion projects, but lack the time or technical skills to execute independently.

Partnership Goals
Depending on your situation, we can collaborate in the following ways:

For Founders/CTOs: You lead market strategy, sales, and customer development. I lead engineering execution and team management. Together, we build a product roadmap.

For Side Hustlers: You provide your idea, industry expertise, or customer relationships. I provide the development team to bring that idea to life. We collaborate on a revenue-sharing or profit-sharing basis. This allows you to increase your side income without having to give up your day job.

In both cases, I will provide dedicated support as a long-term technology partner. Your success will pave the way for my expansion into the US market, so I will be fully invested in the quality and speed of your deliverables.

If you're interested in collaborating or want to discuss the development environment in the US and your market, please leave a comment or send us a DM. Let's create something great together.

Thank you.

    Hi Ben,
I genuinely appreciated your perspective — particularly your emphasis on earning trust first and building meaningful, long-term partnerships. That approach really makes you stand out.

We also have a strong and passionate development team, and worked with several SaaS companies and startups to take products from early-stage ideas all the way to MVP, launch, and growth. Comfortable stepping in as a dedicated tech partner and building scalable systems that support real business traction.

Your vision of combining technical execution with local market insight makes a lot of sense, and we would genuinely be interested in exploring how we could collaborate.

If this aligns, feel free to share your email or drop a message happy to schedule a call and see how we can build something impactful together.

    Hi Ben,
I really like how you’ve structured your partnership model — especially the revenue-share approach for side hustlers.

If you're expanding into the US market, consistent qualified lead flow will be key.

I’d love to explore supporting you on the growth and positioning side — whether that’s refining your messaging, sourcing aligned founders, or helping you attract higher-quality projects.

Open to discussing if that could add value.

    Hi Ben,

I'm a CPA in industry and believe I have a good set of ideas for a SaaS. Accounting has repetetive tasks that I believe a paid subscription is not only possible but also expected. I learned JavaScript to build 2 working solutions but lack true programming expertise to launch with payment processing, security, and frequent editing for improvements as well as time to improve on those skills outside my full time job. Would be happy to discuss a partnership.

      Hi.
      Thank you for your reply.

As an accountant, I cannot help but admire and be amazed at the fact that you have such a deep interest in your own business that you even go so far as to program it.
My team and I have the skills and capabilities to fully implement the proposal you're asking for.

I hope that we can form a partnership based on mutual support and become partners who achieve success in our respective businesses.
Please let me know how I can contact you.
My email address is [email protected].
I'll be waiting for your contact.

      Best regards.
      Ben.
