Looking for a Technical Co-founder | "Made in Mexico" B2B Marketplace (Equity Only)
Hey Indie Hackers,
I'm a Mexican entrepreneur with a clear vision and no technical skills — and I'm looking for a technical co-founder who wants to build something meaningful together.
The Problem
Mexico is the 12th largest export economy in the world and the #1 commercial partner of the United States. Yet there is no dedicated digital platform that connects Mexican manufacturers and suppliers with international buyers.
Think about it: China has Alibaba. India has IndiaMart. Mexico has... nothing.
Small Mexican manufacturers — furniture makers, agricultural equipment workshops, textile producers, artisan food producers, silversmiths — make world-class products that nobody outside their town knows about. The internet never reached their business.
The Opportunity
Nearshoring is booming. American and Canadian companies are actively looking to move supply chains closer to home. Mexico is perfectly positioned geographically, legally (T-MEC/USMCA), and culturally. The demand is there. The supply is there. The bridge is missing.
I've already identified real suppliers on the ground — from a small workshop making excellent agricultural spreaders to artisan producers across Jalisco — who have no digital presence whatsoever and would join a platform like this immediately.
The Model
A B2B marketplace connecting Mexican SME suppliers with international buyers. Revenue through transaction commissions at launch, membership tiers later. Similar to how Alibaba started — build trust first, monetize second.
What I Bring
What I'm Looking For
A technical co-founder who:
I'm offering 30–40% equity. The exact split depends on what you bring to the table and how aligned we are on vision.
This is not a "I have an idea, you do the work" post. I'm looking for a real partner. Someone who will challenge my thinking, own the product, and build something we're both proud of.
If this resonates with you, reply here or reach out directly. Tell me what you've built before and why this interests you.
Let's build the Alibaba of Mexico. 🇲🇽
