Hey guys!
I'm a marketing/growth/product guy from the SaaS space that's betting the podcast space hasn't even begun to truly explode (and will over the next five years).
I realized most podcast shows—even those with significant amount of listeners—still don't have their own website presence. Instead, they rely solely on their streaming platform profiles to publish, network websites to list them, and social networks to promote.
And yet, there's a lot to be gained from having a branded website (especially from a branding, SEO, and advertising performance perspective).
To start, my idea is to provide them with a simple, responsive, one-page website template that is made for podcast shows. This website template has a few sections and allows them to:
– Introduce their podcast (what it's all about + add social links)
– Showcase three episodes (featured and/or most recent episodes)
– Feature their current advertisers (as well as links to promotions)
– Introduce the hosts themselves (about me section)
– Offer a contact form (can be used for interviewees or advertisers to reach out)
Business model would a branded free plan and a subscription-based pro.
If you're a technical founder that's interested in teaming up to build this, would be great to chat. Cheers!
Did you have a look at https://podcastpage.io/?
They do exactly that.
I'd be interested in hearing the SEO part, how does podcast Search optimization work?
