I've been using Podia since last year now and I like it's simplicity. I've given the landing page(s) a lot of thought but I've been overly good at this sort of thing. I asked a friend today what they thought of my Podia based site and their feedback seemed reasonable: don't use your face/bio on the landing page, but that somewhere else.
What do you think? If you look at other Podia sites they tend to focus on the person running the show and providing the products. I feel I'm here to do the same, really. My products are about my knowledge and experience.
Please note: I have paid for products on this site, but I'm not trying to poach sales here, I'm simply looking for landing page feedback, tips and tricks.
Thanks a bunch in advanced.
Hey, to provide some context to this, can you tell me how did I get on this landing page?
If a person sees this landing page, did they see it because of an ad on Google, a link in your Youtube description or an email campaign?
If this is a landing page to bring in potential customers unfamiliar with The Cloud Coach or unfamiliar with you ( a Cold landing page) then it could be better.
If this is a landing page for people familiar with you ( a Warm Landing Page) I still think it could be improved.
Your face at the top of the page is not alarming for me, I like to see a person behind the brand especially if I'm unfamiliar with it. However, it is weird that I don't get a name or introduction. " Hi I'm Michael Crilly, I've been developing cloud-based solutions for nearly 10 years and here are my courses". Something concise. Your picture says Hi I'm Mike, but none of your text do lol.
VIP section, the value of a network is directly proportional to the size of the network. If you told me "Join over 100 Cloud-based developers like you in our VIP section" then I would be more inclined to join. But without knowing how many people are in the network I am hesistant. I've joined many networks too early when it was only 6 lowly people chatting about off the wall topics lol.
"Stay in the loop" section. In many parts of the world a "fortnight" is a game lol. You can change that to explicitly say every two weeks. Also, you have a typo with the word "signn"
"If you want to stay up to date with the latest in our field, signn up to my fortnightly news letter below. It's free."
I hope this helps.
Thanks mate. Great feedback.
3.Good point. I've changed it to be more direct in the language. And I've fixed the typo ;-)
Cheers buddy.
