Looking for Bootstrapped Startups to Invest $500k to $2M In

Looking for a capital partner to help you accelerate the growth of your startup?

The VC fund I founded is currently investing out of a $41M early-stage fund, looking to write initial checks of $500k to $2M into bootstrapped or lightly funded startups that have achieved $250k or greater of ARR and looking for a partner to help them scale. Primarily focused on B2B software, fintech, and marketplaces.

I started Great North Ventures with my twin brother after having successfully exiting our bootstrapped startup that we grew for 16 years. We have worked with a handful of other bootstrapped/lightly funded startups and had a lot of success the past few years so looking to find others to partner with.

U.S. only.

Prepping for our first raise now — early AI product aimed at restaurant ops. Curious if your investors responded better to traction or team story?

It seems like a really good idea, I'm still starting out on my projects and many of them aren't even profitable yet, but I hope to get there one day.

Congratulations on your success to date! Any chance you would consider a boostrapped start up that has validated demand in the US, UK and Australia that is registered in New Zealand? We're planning a SAFE round next month but open about alternative approaches.

Really great to see a VC fund that focuses on supporting bootstrapped and lightly funded founders — love the philosophy. I’m still in the early stages (building Leivoo — a social app for real-time connections in nightlife/events, ranked top 30 on IH) but definitely will be following your work as I grow. Very inspiring!

Thanks for sharing this really inspiring journey! I'm currently building a scalable Airbnb arbitrage model ,where we lease properties long-term and re-rent them short-term on platforms like Airbnb. It's capital-efficient, cash-flow positive, and growing fast.

Would love to explore if this could fit within your investment scope happy to send over a short deck if you're open to it.

This is an exciting opportunity for some folks (not me yet, lol)! Great North Ventures - where are you based? I was thinking you might be in Canada until I saw the US-only requirement.

We are based in Minnesota and looking for startups based in the U.S.

Cool - definitely respect people doing tech startup things outside the typical hotspots. I’m located in North Idaho (grew up in Michigan) and there’s a small tech community here- hopefully it grows.
