Looking for collaborators to build a modern job search engine and hiring tool

I have been tinkering with an idea to improve the job search and application process and would like to team up with fellow hackers (Engineers, UX Designers, Product/Marketing, etc.) who share a similar vision.

I've built a working prototype for the search component and I'm able to deploy it via CI/CD. The goal is to release it over the next few weeks and collect feedback while I continue to improve the product. At the moment, the UX/UI needs a lot of work and there are many interesting features that need to be ironed out and implemented.

I'm a full stack engineer with over 24 years of experience in building highly sophisticated systems at large companies and startups. The tech stack is Typescript/React/NodeJS. Please ping me @theoutlander or on Twitter/LinkedIn.

    Hi Nick,
I am interested in the topic as recently I struggled with the job search and also was thinking about how to improve the quality of applying for the positions, automation of the process, and have more filters than offered now.

Hey Nick, what problem is it solving and who is the buyer?

      Hi Kirill!

Most jobs posted on career pages are not available on job boards so I'd like to curate high-paying/high-growth companies that I would consider working at. Most people starting to look for a job don't know which companies to look at. They have to navigate through company career pages separately. Discoverability is also an issue when searching for specific aspects such as industry, required skills, technologies, company size, stock performance, market cap, IPO date, salary range, growth potential, network, etc.

I find that most of the well-known job portals have a lot of noise for folks that are interested in popular high-growth companies. There isn't a way to be notified of new jobs or when existing jobs are updated/removed. In addition, folks need to apply to jobs through their career pages.

I am still working through the monetization strategy as it depends on the specific features that we end up implementing. I'm exploring several features at the moment. For instance, I want to analyze candidate profiles & resumes using machine learning to predict the likelihood of getting an interview or how good a match it is to a job. This will allow us to go beyond what the tools support today. I am experimenting with a job assistant that tracks jobs and auto-applies for candidates who're a very good match. There are other challenges with this that I'm still working through. These are some of the low hanging fruit, but I'm happy to go in-depth through other features offline.
