I'm looking to connect with developers who enjoy building real software products.
Not necessarily people looking for a job, co-founder position, or funding. I'm simply interested in meeting others who are focused on creating useful applications and shipping products that people genuinely want to use.
Over the past several months I've been building desktop applications and working on a software marketplace centered around software ownership, privacy, and straightforward pricing. Along the way I've realized that it's surprisingly difficult to find developers who are interested in discussing these ideas.
Many communities seem heavily focused on growth, fundraising, AI products, subscriptions, and rapid scaling. Those are all valid topics, but I'm often more interested in conversations about product design, desktop applications, local-first software, user trust, and creating tools that solve practical problems.
If you're building software because you enjoy the craft of creating useful products, I'd love to connect and hear what you're working on.
What are you building? What motivates you to keep building? And where do developers with similar interests usually gather these days?
