I'm looking for feedback on this landing page.
Is the message clear enough on what the premise of the platform is?
Thanks, y'all!
"Yet another community for builders, indiehackers, and entrepeneurs" seems like you are selling yourself short. Try coming up with a description that is more enticing and unique.
It was supposed to have a satirical tone to it. But I see this is not going over well lol. I am going to change that.
I'm curious, what would entice you about another community of builders?
I liked the clarity and simplicity of the headline.... the headline draws the eyes first to the image and then the text with the headline.... but one more community? what is different about this community that will make me put my email in the field? this is a question that the potential user will ask.
Those are great points. Thank you.
What kind of value add do you believe would make users see this community as different?
The design is cool, but how and why I should join is unclear. The e-mail field looks like you are going to include me in certain mail-list; if the intention is to motivate registering, I would express it explicitly.
Got it! Love this feedback.
What would make joining a community like this enticing for you?
Design looks sharp, but why would I join? I am trying to curate my communities to those that provide the most value. There is so much content out there.
What kind of value would need to be added to make this community valuable for you?
Maybe it's a super specific topic - validation, marketing, recruiting, idea generation, tech stack. "Yet another community...but here we love to talk in depth about X"
I like it, it’s simple and straight to the point. I agree with the other posts that the value proposition is not mentioned, maybe something could be added below the email field?
What kind of value proposition do you think would cause a user to want to stop and enter in their email address?
I understand what it is, but I don't get what the value proposition is. To me the message is that you're a clone of the other sites mentioned. I love the font and colors though!
Do you have any suggestions on what type of value proposition would make this worth your while when signing up?
Is there anything in particular that you are looking for in a community?
It's not clear what people will be building. Are they building communities, products, websites, all of that? I think having a few examples might help. As @Zeyad mentioned, "Yet another community..." doesn't make you sound unique. Why would a user join just another community? There must be an enticing value proposition.
They could be building all of what you listed.
Ultimately, the goal is to provide a place for builders to list their projects and get valuable feedback from their projects, and even funding if they need it.
The message is clear but not very convincing.
"yet another community..." is the doubt on the users' minds when they see another community.
You should eliminate it with a unique value proposition, not the opposite.
Yes. The "yet another community" was supposed to be satirical but I see that it is not going over well with people.
I will take your advice. Thank you.
Fresh eyes, highlighting value prop in h1 is highly beneficial.
For h1, if your platform helps people build, this works, but going via what is written in h2, it seems like a platform that helps one find likeminded people and build community, then you should change it to what exactly the user is getting.
In simple words, h1 -> value prop, h2 -> tag line
Thank you!
Yes, this will be a community for like-minded people to get feedback on their projects and potentially funding if they need it.
My first reaction was: Why do we need 'yet another community for builders, indiehackers, and entrepreneurs"
May be community of builders, indiehackers, and entrepreneurs for [x] Niche?
The picture is awful. The text is okay but doesn't sound so appealing that I'd be eager to give you my email.
Good luck and keep improving!
Hello! Not clear to me.
"Come build with us" - Build what? Is it a commnuity? As in a forum?
"Yet another community for builders, indiehackers, and entreprenurs": I do not like the word "yet another". Sounds like here is just "another" community, nothing unique with this one.
Hey Orlundo!
I appreciate the simplistic approach! Crisp and clean. The description is good, it's simple and serves it's purpose. If I should suggest something, I'd say try changing the hero title(H1). I personally think a more "catchphrase-y" one would add extra purpose and would give that description a boost.
Hi, I checked out your website and I think it's a great idea to help people find the best tools for their projects. I like the design and the layout of the site, and the categories are clear and useful.
Like a couple other commenters said, "yet another..." is not painting your product in a good light.
I think it could use some sort of value-add comment. Between twitter, IH, PH, discords, why would I want to join another community? What separates you? This would be the selling point in my opinion.
The "yet another" piece was supposed to be satirical but it is not going over well.
What kind of value would another community need to add to make it worthwhile to join?
