Looking for feedback: Lampant

Hey Folks!
My first post here on IndieHackers :D Excited to be part of the community.

I've been building a MVP for a project called Lampant, a SaaS to help organizations collection and act on the best employee submitted ideas; it's like a virtual suggestion box for everything related to an organization, from event ideas to new business opportunities.

You can visit it here: https://lampant.com

I have an MVP with several features but still rough around the edges.

I'm inviting you to try it out and give me some feedback. I'm searching specifically for:

  • is the value proposition clear and appealing?
  • are the core functionalities clear and easy to use?
  • how easy is it to accomplish what you want?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

note: feel free to register. At the moment there are no payments involved and I'll honor all accounts with an early adopter deal once I launch.

Thanks a bunch in advance <3

You may want to flip the fonts and colors of the site to gain a bit of distance from this 400lb gorilla - https://miro.com/mind-map/ it's too close for comfort - I had to look up the term mindmap - didn't realize its a thing - not sure how well acquainted the world is with the concept. I do like the phrase "Leverage the best minds in your organization." and "innovation platform" I think from a message perspective you need to make clear its function is to tap into the untapped creativity and solutions residing in the minds of your staff in a way that captures it all and allows it to see the light of day. I get how tricky it is to convey that simply.

Since my issues relate to conveying your premise I would suggest changing "An Idea is just an input... for another Idea" to "An Idea is often an input... for another Idea" because it cant be an endless loop right? Also "Ideas should not be tied up" I would consider "Ideas should not be locked up" Lock/unlock just rings better than tied/untied? as a metaphor.

back at the top: "Gain new insights and different perspectives to grow organically." consider "Gain new insights and different perspectives to innovate organically." or "Gain new insights and different perspectives to innovate internally." It's not really a grow thing it's more of an invent and solve thing, right?

Love the multiple lightbulbs of different types image, its spot on.

Maybe a line or two about use cases: "Use Lampant to innovate new products and services, solve problems, improve workflows and collaboration between groups"

The Call to action at the bottom "Ready to dive in?" maybe match it to your service tighter with "Ready to unlock your organization's innovative power?" or "tap into" or whatever but "dive in" is too generic.

I love upvoting as long as it's only once per employee -It would be good if there was some sort of visible disposition or outcome or expiration date (optionally) so that it doesn't become the company's unimplemented wish list. Your churn challenge will come from management seeing the board fill up, nothing gets implemented, it starts to embarrass them so they pull it. That's just my side bet - best of luck.

Hey @unemployability thanks a bunch for this crazy awesome feedback. Really appreciated!

Regarding the colors, yes very good point. I've started with the default I saw from tailwind UI examples and then it stuck with me. I'll consider changing, as I also think Cyan would work pretty well. I'll play around with it and fonts.

Your copy suggestions are very insightful. I think they are better than mine for sure and I'll try them out later today.

Regarding the voting, it's one employee vote per idea. Do you mean something else, like limiting one vote per topic or other "rule"?

-It would be good if there was some sort of visible disposition or outcome or expiration date (optionally) so that it doesn't become the company's unimplemented wish list

there is a "roadmap" where highly voted (or additionally selected ideas) are available to see their progress on implementation. This concept of an expiration date is something really interesting though. I'll give it some though but I can see it being very helpful to address the issue you mentioned.

      Thanks a million again <3
