Looking for feedback on a virtual tour creation software

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get some feedback on my little side project called NockNock. The website is at https://nocknock.io

It is a web-based 3D Virtual Tour creation software allowing users to create immersive property tours for real estate, rentals, businesses, and even restaurants. No technical skills are necessary. With an inexpensive 360 camera, you can get started creating virtual tours in literally minutes.

I'm an engineer at the core so completely a novice when it comes to sales or marketing... Any guidance in this area would also be appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi broody!

Cool product. I think it'd definitely be useful to quite a few professionals in the real estate world.

I do think there are a number of issues with your landing page though.

Here's a quick breakdown. Keep in mind this was on my phone, so perhaps on desktop my suggestions don't make as much sense.

    1. I'd change the first section's background image. The house on the sea does nothing to promote your product. On mobile, it's the only thing above the fold, so that space really should be used wisely. A graphic of your tool, or the output of your tool, would be a much wiser use of that image space.

    2. Every headline should be something that would convince the reader into converting. "A little about nocknock" doesn't do anything in that regard. You can utilize that headline to explain something of value to the reader.

    3. You're selling two things on the same page. Try to focus more on this page... Do you want users to use your software or buy your tripod? I was pretty confused when I got a new call to action halfway down the page for something other than your software. I'd move your tripod product to its own page, with its own benefits list and explanations.

    4. You are using the phrase "immersive tours"... I don't know what that means, but that could be because I'm not a real estate agent or your target customer... but are you 100% sure that they know what it means? If you're not 100% sure, then you should probably use the more explicit explanation you have in your page's title tag. "3D Virtual Tours"

    5. You have quite a bit of fluff and too many conflicting calls to action. "Log In" should definitely not be one of your main CTAs. Neither should "Follow us on XYZ". You need to remove the fluff and distractions, and get straight to the point.

Eg. Here's what the current "conversation" you're having with your customer could be imagined as:

Customer:. I found your site on Google. What is this site about? Is it what I need?
You: Here's a little about my app... You can use it to make immersive tours, whether you are a real estate agent or any one else.
Customer: OK. I'm a real estate agent, so that sounds like it might be useful... I'm not sure if I want an "immersive tour", I want a 3D virtual tour. Sounds like it could be the same... but why should I use your app?
You: Here are some samples from my app. You can use Android or some other devices.
Customer: OK, these are cool. It does look like what I was looking for. I guess I could use these types of images to sell more houses... Right?
You: Here's how you use the app. It's easy.
Customer: You're giving me lots of info, but not really telling me why I should want this. Is it really worth it for me to spend my valuable time making these tours? I guess I should keep reading to find out.
    You: Buy my tripod!
Customer: Wait, what?? I want to know more about the tours.
You: OK, here's how to use my product.
    Customer: OK. :-/
    You: Follow us on Facebook.

You get the idea 😁. You want to answer every question they have, but in an easy to digest, easy to parse format. And you definitely want to explain WHY each feature you have in your app will make them money or save them time (either directly or indirectly). Here's what a streamlined "conversation" could look like:

Customer: I found your site on Google. Is it what I need?
You: You can use our app to create a virtual tour of a house or apartment (here's what it looks like), from your laptop or > phone, which will help you sell more houses every month (here's our proof). We're easier than the competition to use and less expensive.
Customer: Awesome. I like selling more houses. But is this really easier than the competition?
You: Yep. Here's how easy it is: "Just 3 steps..."
Customer: Wow, that is easy. Can I see more sample images of your tool's output?
You: Here are even more sample images.
Customer: OK. I have a few more lingering questions... how do I sign up? What are the costs? Do I need to be technical to use this tool?
You: It's free for XYZ (days/tours/pictures/whatever) to try. Why don't you start creating your first tour right now (link to signup). There's no technical expertise needed.

Let me know what you think!

Edit: I've updated my feedback with better explanations and more details.

Wow, thanks for such detailed feedback. This is extremely helpful! I spent all my time implementing the editor and viewer tool that I completely neglected the front page, which is the FACE of everything behind it... I'll spend time in the next couple of days to revamp and rethink all the points you've highlighted. Thank you!

You're welcome! Think of it this way: no one will use your awesome tool if they don't sign up. If you can convince them to sign up, they'll tell you how to make your tool even better...

So if you want to have the best tool on the market, you have to spend time figuring out how to convince people to sign up. 😁😁

    Nice project! @broody

I don't know it's for the property industry until I click on your website. Maybe you should mention it in your pitch? Otherwise, you might mislead visitors and end up earning cheap clicks.

Thanks for the feedback! I will update the description.
