Looking for feedback on how to identify my customer
I am building a prototype system that allows people to automate hydroponic growing of vegetables / microgreens and monitor sensor data, plant growth via a web app. Since I am a solo entrepreneur I think this will either end up being an online course or a web app, rather than a complete HW and SW system. I am trying to decide who my real customer is. Is it people interested in learning about the internet of things or is it hydroponics hobbyists who like to tweek/mod their systems.
What would be some good ways to help refine who my customer is and whether I should focus on building a course or web app.
Can you find those groups of people somewhere (online or irl)? If you can find them, talk to them. Read The Mom Test to learn how to ask the right questions.
