Looking for feedback on MVP landing page for API monetization

I'd love some feedback on this MVP landing page geared towards others looking to make money on APIs, browser extensions or plugins.

https://portapi.co

Viewing this landing page, do you clearly understand...

  1. What the solution is and what problem it's trying to solve for anyone selling an API?
  2. What the solution offers the API provider vs their subscribers and that the solution solves for both?
  3. That the screenshots depict what API subscribers get and that it's a branded experience with the API providers brand?
  4. Is there enough to understand how this solution works?

I very much appreciate any feedback, throughts and suggestions. I am an engineer, not a marketer or copy writer so trying my best here. I based my work on this HubSpot landing page guide:
https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/landing-page-best-practices

I have created and sold APIs on RapidAPI for years but am building this primarily for my own needs, and maybe others as well.

Over the fold area is clear, I get a fairly good idea what this product is.

The logo looks odd, though. It's like an odd looking horse shoe. The Favicon looks odd, too.

Some of the texts in the landing page look unpolished and there are also grammar mistakes. For example, "Just drop in your APIs URL" should be "Just drop in your API's URL". Another mistake that shows the unpolished nature of the page is that some of these short texts end with a period, some don't. For example, "Maximize customer satisfaction with a fully featured subscriber portal on day one." - end with a period, "No code required to Launch. Just drop in your APIs URL and payment provider keys" - no period.

The lack of polish also shows in the mixed use of the apostrophe character. At some parts of the text, you use the ' character as the apostrophe, on other parts, you are using the ’ character. These are two different characters. Choose one and use the same consistently.

The Integrated With section is awkward. The logos are clickable, but when clicked, the page just scrolls up. If the logos are clickable, they should display some additional information about this specific integration. If not, they should not be clickable.

The check marks in the "Deliver all necessary portal features on day one" list are awkwardly at a different vertical level than the texts next to them.

The screenshots of your product look nice. I wish they were a bit bigger so I could have a better look, or one could click them to view them in a bigger size.

I like the fact you use colorful icons. Way too often people think that since they have some color scheme (e.g. blue), all their icons need to use the same color, which just makes everything look visually dull and repetitive. The icons you use are simple but they look pretty.

I really like the "You built the API - There's nothing left to build." pitch at the end. It's really powerful. Too bad it's on a big gray box. It would deserve a visually better looking platform.

The logo looks even worse in the footer area, with the footer being dark and the logo having the white background.

All the other footer links give a 404 error.

Clicking the main CTA button is very underwhelming. First you pitch that this thing is amazing and I can use this thing to Launch Today. Then I click that button, just to be told that this thing is still in beta and I need to request access. What happened to "launch today"? Also, nowhere in the copy did it say that this thing is still in beta.

If this thing is in beta, what's in it for me to test this for you? Is there a discount? I cannot see any being mentioned. In fact, I cannot see any information about pricing at all.

I tried to ask for the price from the chat thing, and all the robot said was "what is your email address". That didn't help at all. What's the purpose of a chat box if it doesn't actually provide any value or help to the user?

I think this looks pretty good overall, but it's lacking important information such as the pricing and the actual status of the product (i.e. when is this thing ready).

OMG, jv16, that is a fantastic review! Thank you so much.

Now that you mention it, you are totally right, that is unpolished and I only see it now. Was so focused on just getting it out the door and showing it around.

I admit the logo is awkward (an original design by yours truly). Will revise.

I also got feedback from others that pricing is important and I think you offer great ideas for enticing people to beta test. I know there was a time when everyone slapped BETA on their things, I don't see that as much anymore so I didn't but it's for sure BETA. Great idea on the screenshots, will do!

Oddly got no notification on CrispChat that you had a question, will review my settings but I am also UK time so maybe it was night. Will address all of these.

Thank for for amazing feedback, this certainly took you time and effort. Very much appreciated.

Thank you! I think being in beta stage is fine, you should be more clear about it and also offer some incentive for people to test the product for you. For example, you could offer some kind of early adapter pricing. People love a discount when it makes sense and they feel special. Early adapter pricing hits both of those marks.
