I'm looking for feedback on ListoPost which is a site where you can share, discover, and vote on links. I created this site out of the frustration I had to easily find lists of things. I didn't like going through pages and pages of content just to find what I was looking for.
Please vote on your favorite things and share your projects/sites/MVP here if you would like.
Some questions I have:
Thanks!
Hey Brandon, your website is a good idea, I've also been frustrated searching for tools. I think your links are not only linked but really links to web apps. This could be more clear. I was wondering If I would find cooking recipes or links to blog articles. If you target only web apps be clear about it.
At a first sight I don't understand what are all those 0 front of links.
Also, some links bring directly to the website, some are subcategories, it's pretty confusing.
Tried to create an account but couldn't
"Invalid Email or password." feature not done yet?
Keep up!
Thank you for the encouragement and feedback. I think this could also be for blog articles or recipes or anything really but I just need to post more content. I'm understand your confusion and I'll try to make it easier to understand.

I just tested and it appears to be working fine now.
I see, so if there are 1000 people posting lists about anything this might be a joyful mess. What about people creating their own lists, and you can subscribe to the list you like. Lists you subscribe to would appear on your first page, kind of like a dashboard or a feed.
Imagine notorious people on Twitter for example having their own list and sharing it with their community, this could help marketing. Could help any kind of community.
Just afraid that if that there is only one list on your website and everybody adds their links, your problem of having to go through a lot of content to find anything would appear again.
Unless you make list by categories but less appealing marketing-wise maybe.
So far, I plan to try to use voting to drive content recommendation and hopefully a wizard at signup to get more user content preferences. I am still considering subscribe/follow features.
Yes, I agree it could be a mess and I hope content moderation, voting and recommendation systems can filter out the noise.
Right now, we have lists and posts . In the future, I'd like to create the concept of a profile which would be completely controlled by a user and more like a collection of posts so a user could select their favorite posts to showcase them.
I do also plan to make categories as well (I'm going to call them topics) which would be a collection of related lists.
Thank you again for the feedback.
cool any idea for monetization so far?
Only thought about display ads or affiliate links.
