Hi all
I have seen many benefits to career coaching first-hand. I have coached friends and my wife has also had benifits from a career coach.
I've decided to build a career coach directory/booking site. Kinda like superprof or superhunt, but just focusing on the career coach niche.
The landing page is quite basic at the moment as it's only to see if there is interest.
I plan to launch a free ebook soon which will hopefully bring in some numbers.
Any feedback welcome.
temporary site: https://career-sphere.webflow.io/
edit: I've had a think and I'm starting again from scratch. It was only a few hours work anyway. It's not up to standard. I was trying to get something up fast like is often recommended to test the waters. But I'd rather spend a bit more time getting it looking legit, as that will be an easier way to test if people are interested.
I did a UI course recently that I asked my work to be me on, but didn't really apply any of the principles as I did this in a rush. I have also just read Refactoring UI over the last couple of days after seeing someone post about it, great book. I'm also going to use the Tailwind UI component library. :)
Thanks for the input folks.
Hey Dan, great work!
Few suggestions for the above the fold section:
The main header - I'd make it sound way more reassuring "Your dream job is one coaching call away" "Never feel alone in your career journey again"
Subheader - Create more confidence and validation / social proof here -
"Feeling overwhelmed about your transition, promotion, or facing issues at work? Find the right career coach to get you unstuck. Join 1000+ other marketers, developers, and product managers."
Thank you.
I appreciate the copy advice. Definitely going to work on it some more.
Thanks
NB: my intention is not to sound arch, sharing honest feedbacks without expressing emotion is hard, sorry for that.
It's too generic for me to catch my attention. A landing page can be very simple in term of information while being clear, but I expect it to have something that makes me want to convert: which is not the case right now.
What I would personally do (not saying is what you should do):
First impression is crucial, if people leave your website remembering it, you score, if they convert, you win the match :D
One more question actually.
Would it be okay to have only a hero section? So a one page type thing?
also: I realise now it kinda sucks and I was in denial. I was trying to get something up quick so I can move onto the next thing as I want to keep momentum. But I think if the landing page is good enough I could even do a few trial ads.
I'm going to start over and do it right.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
I'll definitely have another look, this is just the first iteration.
Also. In terms of why me and not another coach? Well I'm not actually planning on coaching myself, I only coach recreationally for friends and don't have a desire to charge, although I may do a few free sessions for a couple of signups.
It's more a place for professional career coaches to advertise their services. I thought that was clear, but maybe not.
You should be able to search for local or remote career coaches for online or in person lessons.
Thanks for the additional context :). Make sure that it's explicit "Be ready to meet with the best coach in town" or something strong :D
thank you
