Hello fellow hackers!
I am happy to share the landing page of a project I wanted to develop for myself and I would really welcome some feedback from you guys. It would help me to gain an accurate picture of what I'm doing well and where I could improve.
Ataraxsia is a service designed to drown out distracting noises in order to improve concentration and productivity, as well as provide tools to create a pleasant aural environment for working or resting.
You can check it out here: https://ataraxsia.com/
What do you think about the landing page? Is it visually appealing? Is there enough intrigue to drive sign-ups? Enough context to keep from confusion? Is there anything vital I've overlooked?
Thanks for taking your time!
The human attention span is clocked at about 8.5 seconds. If you don’t capture attention within that time, you’re going to lose them.
Let's say a user goes to your website. They are looking at your hero.
So what does ataraxsia do? Sure, you're “making the link between health and productivity at the workplace” But how? What do you do?
Your users have to scroll down and do a lot of work to even understand what your service is(most will probably drop off before doing that).
Thank you! I was thinking about this, thanks for pointing it out :)
Looks cool!
Just a couple quick things, it wasn't until I scrolled down to the features and benefits that I understood what the service was about
Also, in the sneak peak section it wasn't totally obvious to me to click on the options. I was fixated on trying to use the slider on each one, but unless they were selected already they wouldn't slide which was confusing. Maybe select the sound when someone starts sliding it or something?
Thank you! Yes, it appears that I need to do a better job of clarifying things.
I felt it would be better if the user could adjust the volume once the sound is played, but I hadn't considered playing the sound once using the slider. Thanks for those valuable suggestions, I will surely work on that :)
