Hi IH family.
Looking for feedback on my landing page for an idea I'm working on. I'm not going to tell you anything about the idea itself (if the landing page can't do that then it failed lol). Be honest....permission to be ruthless granted :)
Hey Francis. The website looks nice. Love the bear character. The question about peanut butter and mayo made me smile.
In case you’re still looking for more feedback, I’ll be more than happy to give you my detailed thoughts.
Me and my partner will be giving personal real-time feedback in a video chat for this whole week to help other founders.
Check out flounders.io for the details.
Hope to see you there.
P.S.: Anyone who wants to get feedback is also welcomed 👍
Hey thanks! Flounders sounds like a great idea! How has that been going for you?
Not bad, we just started. Would you like to be the first one?
Honestly I think your landing page hits the spot on. I immediately knew exactly what the app was for.
Question: Out of curiosity, how did you make the cellphone picture?
We did a mockup of the actual app. It's actually semi-functional.
LP looks great. Anonymity may hurt you as open to abuse. I'm doubting the AI bit.
The abuse is my biggest worry. I've included a "report a poll" feature so hopefully the community can help regulate it. Is it enough? I don't know yet...
The AI part is really about delivering polls that interest you. So if you respond on a lot of political polls and skip the food polls then we'll deliver more of what you're interested in to you.
Really appreciate the feedback mate. Thank you so much.
Looks great! I like the colors and the mascot!
Hey thanks so much!
Thanks. Appreciate it!
Looks great! As a designer, I'm not sure if the icon style you are using for your 3 prop value blocks fits with your overall Art direction.
Copy is clear, design is nice, logo is memorable. Good Job
Hey thanks for the love! You're right about the icons. I actually changed the copy a bit and now it doesn't match the icons. Good eye. Thanks again.
I definitely agree with @NxAlessandro. Although I like the icons, they don't match the flavor of your logo.
Your welcome 🤗
Why anonymous? These type of things are what friends + family are there for as you 'trust' them.
Yeah I hear you on that one. But there are quite a few scenarios where anonymity can help you get a better and even more objective response.
Friends and family, while the mean well, bring with them HUGE bias. Sometimes we need to take a step back and get real, objective feedback and who better than a bunch of strangers? Like what I'm getting here at IH hehe. Thanks for the feedback mate.
But this is a community you've come to trust. No? Be intersting to know what sort of early validation gathered. I love the design of the page and super intrigued to see how you progress. Nonetheless, well done!
I really like the design very cool! I wish the card with the guy in the shirt was bigger so I can better see what the different polls look like with pictures. I'm most familiar with twitter polls so I don't see how they're too different to make me want to download it.
You've done more than me, keep it up!
Hey thanks for the love and feedback! Yes I'll take another look at that graphic and see if resizing makes it better. Cheers.
This is a great example of a good landing page.
I also love the anonymity aspect. In these days we live in, where people can have their whole life and career ruined because they have an opinion that differs from that of the social media outrage-seekers, this might provide a bit of breathing space and honest, open discussion.
Hey, thanks for the feedback and support. Yeah I see a lot of value in the anonymity aspect. Glad you like the concept :)
Beautiful design, it's instantly inviting. The color scheme, icons, and logo are all really good.
Appreciate the love mate.
Looks really good to me!
It might be a personal opinion, but nowadays I’m more inclined to use a service through its website/webapp especially since PWAs are now really powerful.
If anything, I’d install an app if it seems like web technologies couldn’t do the work (game or app with native access to the device required) or after I’ve given it a try and am then convinced the app would offer me more (better offline access, possibility to save media...).
So I’d say a web version is a real plus for users to give it a try.
Thanks for the feedback. You make a good point about a webapp for giving people a try. Will definitely consider it. It would ease customers apprehension about trying the app for sure.
My thought behind the mobile app was really convenience. Get notifications when people respond to your poll, don't have to remember the url, have polls pop up based on your location (Are you going to the concert at XYZ stadium tonight?). But definitely see your point. Thanks man.
You’re welcome man.
Notifications are possible with PWAs and even if it’s not installed you have browser notifications.
You juste have to get the user to accept it, but if asked at the right moment and with good reasons, they should accept.
Let me know when it’s out, I’ll give it a try then.

Hey great question! My thoughts are that anonymity allows askers a greater level of freedom and responders can be more honest with their answers. No fear of victimization or being judged for your questions/point of view.
Also, this is positioned to be more fun with quicker feedback. You will actually put up the options you need help deciding on and respondents will help you choose the best one. It isn't as open-ended as Quora.
Yeah I'm open to any suggestions on how I can test the hypothesis without building out the MVP. What made you stop your idea?
I did have a plan for gamification but it actually revolved around customizing your bear. So the points from polls (both responded and created) can be used to by clothes, gear etc to your bear. Then I thought by doing so you lose some element of anonymity haha.
Thanks for the recommendations mate.
Thanks a lot. I will check this out for sure.
