Looking for feedback on my LP

Hey everyone,

I've been working on https://velty.app -- a web tool that lets you organize your YouTube subscriptions and video collections.

My target audience is power users that wants to take control of their youtube feed, making it simpler to find the content they're interested in.

As a solo developer, I've found the marketing side of things to be quite the puzzle. Any thoughts or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

I'm keen to hear your thoughts on the idea!

    designer here! :)

    • initial heading made me kinda understand it but kinda not. didn't really understand what as meant by 'organising subscriptions' and more specifically, what the point of it was

    • the image below (specifically the left nav bar) helped me piece the puzzle a bit more and i had the 'oooh right ' - so i'd try find a way to draw emphasis to that nav bar

    • depending on your target market, i'd use more than just 'dev' 'python' 'web' 'css' as the categories on the left nav, cos i'm assuming your target might not be devs? (unless if they are)

    • visually, nothing really stand-out ish about the website (but at this point, copy and content are more important than 'how it looks' since overall the website is by no means the worst i've seen)

    • the some features i'm a bit confused by like 'keyboard-based navigation'. had no idea this was a problem (therefore not understanding why it's a highlighted benefit). but if your users are devs and they're allergic to their mouse then i guess

    • consider bringing 'watch a demo' as a secondary button (next to 'start now for free') . a lot of people like watching vids, and it's currently a little hidden

    • im guessing your main goal right now is sign ups rather than login. change 'login' in the nav bar to 'Sign up'. put the login next to it as a secondary CTA

    • make CTA more action-biased and tackle whatever obstacle your audience might have. if you think their obstacle is around needing to input a credit card, then you can say 'Get started, no credit card required', if it's around money then your current one is good! if its around time, then maybe 'Get organised in <time>'! etc

if you have any other q's, feel free to hmu on twitter @angehyc

    happy designing!

I think the design looks great. I am not the target group, so this may be useless feedback, but can you bring the core value Velty provides straight to the top? It's a bit vague why I should get Velty (again, if it is obvious to the target audience, ignore my comment). Is it for content creators or consumers of content?

The other thought is that the price is too low. If the product doesn't justify a higher price right now, can you think of something that would up the value? You're spending a lot of time and energy on the app, so you may as well build something people would pay a bit more for. Just a thought.

thank you for your review. Probably I will have to change a little bit the message.
