I prefer not to say anything about the product to see if my value proposition is clear.

What do you guys think?
Ps: Shoutout to https://draftss.com as they created the design as part of their giveaway promotion.
I agree with some of the negative comments on the design. I'd use a simpler font and stick with white. The rotating word thing, at first i thought that's a good way of putting more in without using up precious real estate, but the novelty wore off quickly - i think it could end up looking gimmicky (especially with the current font).
Also, don't know if anyone else found this, but for me it was slow to load, that might be to do with this effect? Or it could just be me, but mayve worth running a speed load test.
The images you have below - I've no idea what I'm looking at. You're probably over familiar with it, so its all obvious to you, but it won't be to others. Sure i know it's the app, upon scrolling, but you can only see the top part of the image initially as well, i don't think that's a good idea.
If you could use a 1-2-3 type diagram i think that would be better going forward (obviously i understand this is an MVP)
Also, went to turn my brightness up but found it was on full, so it's all too dark for me.
With dark on dark, it lacks clarity. A border would help, but i think you really want dark on light or vice versa.
But i wouldn't take my - or any other amateurs - word for it - you want a designers eye on it, which you have in other comments from @Michael_Andreuzza
and i would give a lot more weight to that than others - no offence sorry - for sure. I think this is something worth spending some money on, because it all informs (i.e detracts from) credibility, which in turn will effect $.
Also i clicked on the button, i understand this is MVP, but my first question was then "where do is start" so some arrows, revealing instructions or a video would help here.
Onto the most important part though (with my copywriter hat on): the value proposition statement.
Again initially, i though "ok i get it", which is good obviously (and makes a change tbh), but then the next thought was, "so what?" Video editors are ten a penny, so you really need a differentiator or some unique positioning.
"In seconds" Does that qualify? Could do, but it's vague and i feel doubtful of the claim. So if you have this, then show it. :)
Working with what you have, as alluded to, i think it does the "I get it" job, but there is still some room for improvement on the "so what" front and with the brevity and clarity...
Create and Edit stunning Videos in seconds for XXX
Showcase your product, record a tutorial, promote your content with our easy-to-use video recorder and editor.
If you were to lose the rotating word effect (not saying you should, jury's out on that one for me, but if you were to), you could simplify (always good) into...
Create Videos for social in seconds.
I removed edit here, as its not necessary really (IMO) and you repeat it later (a common mistake).
So...
Create Videos for social in seconds.
Showcase your product, record a tutorial or "something else maybe here" with our easy-to-use video recorder and editor.
I removed "promote your content" because this could be misleading, i.e, do you have a way of promoting content? That would be cool and would differentiate, but i suspect that's not the case?
All that aside, I do think the VP here is better than most, just saying with a little work, it could be better.
I have a free process for creating Value Proposition's here if you're interested.
@SymbioticNick - Great points all around..also, I went to check out the process you mentioned...minor glitch on the exit pop - but maybe just cause I'm on safari? - Just thought I would bring it to your attention! blank white space on exit pop
Thanks for the heads up there. It's an animated embed which may be slow to load on Safari. I'll check it thanks.
Ah its not just Safari something is wrong. Thanks for that @ExpansiveJohn I appreciate it. :)
Yea, you bet - that's what we're here for..
I just realised after viewing some other comments, that what i thought was a screenshot of the app is in fact a video, so while that does invalidate some of my comments, it also tells you something else: its not clear its a video. I might suggest a more contrasting play button and a CTA "watch the video to see how it works" sort of thing. My comments about it being half above the fold and half below still stand though. One thought is if you have a button with CTA as suggested below it could trigger an jump to the screen below or trigger a pop up. One word of warning though you don't want more than one choice at a time, so if you have "how it works" as choice 1, then you can direct to "Try It" as choice 2 - then youre creating a logical flow without confusion or choice for the user. This puts you in the driving seat - :"I want them to do A then B (as opposed to choose A or B).
Man, thank you so much for all the effort you put into this. I will utilize all your points and hopefully create something better. Can't tell you how much I appreciate this.
Ahhh it's nice to be appreciated. Hehe. I wish you well.
Nice shot of @csallen in the 4th section. Way to know your audience. 😉
Oooooh wow, I did not know that actually 😳 He came with the designs, I figured he is a stock photo guy. Oh well, Allen if you read this let me know if this bothers you and I will replace it.
I think it's hilarious that I became a stock photo, feel free to keep it
I really love that you can try the product without signing up.
More saas tools should this.
Great job and good luck @daniel_fulop
Thanks man, cheers!
I am going to be honest, I don't like it, you can see that there was little to no effort on the design.
1.-The display font is out of place and you are mixing the tracking, sometimes tight, sometimes wide... a part of being an ugly font, you are using a gradient that, is very off.
I would change it for this one:
2.-Regarding the gradient: You are using the gradient everywhere, buttons, text...you have no main CTA, 2 buttons with the same gradient in the same viewport...nope.
Use a stronger gradient, with personality.
If you want to use that gradient, I would use this background hex color :
3.- You have a section with text aligend to the right. You don't do that unless you are having only visitors fromo RTL reading countries...
4.- Make sure the sections are aligned...they have weird paddings, and margins.
5.- Your footer has too light font and is quiet unreadable...
You can see it was a free design, the quality provided wasn't good and with accessibility issues.
Extra: Take a look at the typography hierarchy, needs to rework.
Thanks you Michael for your points, I do agree with many of them. I will take some time to fix and implement your suggestions. Much appreciated!
Let me know what f you need help 💪
When I review your site as a designer, I unfortunately agree with the negative comments about the design. The simpler the site, the more trustworthy it will be. Maybe you can use design systems.
I saw a problem with the site speed in some comments, but I think the speed of the site was good.
And I have a suggestion for you. You can access a more comprehensive landing page checklist here.
You can even take advantage of the Free Audits. Here I evaluated my own product and my overall score was 93%. I'm also curious about your score.

The images/video used makes it confusing if this is a photo editor app as well as video. Would suggest using different example for making a video. Maybe on a desktop screen with webcam on
Hi Daniel - your value proposition is clear, but the page is like drinking from a fire hydrant. It's a bit much for a landing page, and I had to search for the call to action button. Having said that, if I was in the market for a product like this, I'd sign up.
That pretty much says it...and we've all been guilty of that at some point. When working with clients, I'm often saying,
And I often get back,
1 CTA: They miss it.
2 CTA's: They might see it, but they're still reading and digesting the page.
3 CTA's: Saw it, not ready yet.
4 CTA's: Ok sure, but I wanna scroll back up and re-read or check pricing before I do anything.
5 CTA's: Can't miss it. If they're gonna take action at all, it's not for a lack of CTA's.
More than 5, the page better be long, long, long - or you're just annoying them.
Hey! @daniel_fulop - The Value prop is totally clear to me. I can capture my screen and make videos for TikTok.
I have had the experience of trying to produce mobile videos from a desktop and it can be tricky, getting the sizing and aspect ratio correct. I can see a clear use case from this product.
Hey @daniel_fulop, I find this product very interesting. I will not give my opinion on the design (I'm not a designer), but let me give you my 2 cents about the product.
Hope this helps.
By the way, I'm found of JSON2Video.com and maybe we can find ways of collaboration.
Very solid. I think the visual effects are a bit much (things jumping onto the screen). Just keep them static --OR-- use one for an area that you want to draw attention to. Using it for every element decreases its effectiveness.
Two cents:
Pick a primary color and only gradient slightly off of it. Otherwise you get the dirty gray in between.
And if you keep the vertical marquee, I'd slow it down a nudge.
hey man, I took your advice, really like this new color gradient. Thanks!
It looks pretty slick!
Personally I'm not a big fan of the gradient you've used, I think a block colour would work better. I'd also suggest playing with the opacity of the different elements when they show up on screen so they fade in as you scroll down the page, I think it'd make the scrolling more smooth.
And one more thought not related to the design - I wouldn't use TikTok in your title as I think most TikTokers shoot/edit the videos on their phone/within the app. But me, as a developer/designer, I've actually been looking for a tool like this to record my screen and make quick edits to post my work on Twitter. I'll definitely give this a try but you might want to think a bit more who you want to target.
Hey, thanks for the input, I am super grateful.
Looks very good!
Your title now only says TikTok. Maybe make it rewrite itself every few seconds to say TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, Linked, and Facebook?
Thank you for taking a look! Great suggestion!
I like the UI of the page. I am a bit confused about the product because, in the title, there is described that it is for TikTok, but then I noticed and realised it works with Instagram, youtube and so on as well.
Thanks for the useful insight, much appreciated!
Cool design.
Few small tweaks to consider:
Add a hover effect on your 'Try demo project' button. The effect now is minor. Try to change the color when the user hovers to yellow or something that suits your brand color. Also, consider changing the text of this button to something more convincing.
I like the video. Did you try to place a gif/WebP instead? so it will work automatically when people get into the site? It might be worth considering it.
The logo is bearly noticed because of the light blue color. Consider changing the color to make people remember it.
Overall great design, good luck!!
Awesome points, thank you so much!
Initial impressions are pretty good, the in-your-face headline and the sweet looking screenshot really let's the visitor know what the tool is all about straight away.
I would love to see a pricing link in the navbar, but you might not know your pricing points yet, which is fair.
Good stuff.
Actually I understood what your product was about at the first/second section. So, good job! The landing is also really beautiful.
