Looking for feedback on web browsing concept

As part of my collaborative browsing extension I'm trying out a concept that needs your feedback, especially if you do research of any kind.

Essentially it's a little overlay box for doing online research in the browser - it stays with you as you browse, and you can drag & drop stuff into it (text, images, links). If you invite people into the browsing session, it's synced with everyone in real-time. When you're done, you can send the contents via email, save as PDF, or copy as Markdown to your favourite note-taking app.

You can try it out for Chrome and Firefox (click on 'New session', then enable the dropzone in the overlay UI).

I’d like to see if this can help with more focused browsing sessions, and maybe improving the quality of research.
