Hey folks,
I would like to introduce The Daily App, a task calendar that I have been using for a year or so. I had initially built this as a side-project and now I am opening the product up to public beta.
I would love some feedback on the landing page and the sales pitch: http://thedailyapp.co
The product is currently open for public beta. I expect to keep the page the same for final release; I will just replace the beta sign up box with the pricing details and registration form.
Once again here's the link: http://thedailyapp.co
Thanks for taking a look!
Hey! some feedback:
Hope it helps! Good luck
Thanks for taking the time. This is very helpful!
@luthfur One big feedback that I would give you is that all the text you've used is too long to read. It's difficult to focus on such huge chunks of paragraph. You should try using a lot more visual gap. I think it will improve your visitor analytics too.
Apart from that, the color and design look nice!
Thanks for the feedback! Will look into tightening up the copy and adding more visuals.
Sure thing!
Does it allow you to timebox?
@shortgiraffe I think Brutask offers timeboxing
No it doesn't allow timeboxing. What I have at the moment is a conceptual division of the day into Morning, Afternoon and Evening. It keeps things loose and flexible.
One possible approach I am considering is allowing for custom partitioning of the day, which perhaps would make it somewhat similar to timeboxing.
Do you use strict timeboxing in your day? Would love to learn how that works for you in terms of planning and productivity.
Hi, I just checked your landing because this is a product that I am actively looking for. The design is gorgeous. The price does not scare me. But I didn't create a 14-day trial account. Here is the motive:
Thanks for the feedback! I completely agree with you. I am working to remove the CC requirement upfront. I will look into setting up a public demo version too. That's a great suggestion. I used to do exactly that back in the day when I built self-hosted PHP apps.
Btw, I would love to learn more about what exactly you are looking for in an app that you are not finding. I am shaping the product from lots of feedback; currently working on a great time blocking feature with google integration. Feel free to DM or email me. (contact@thedailyapp.co)
Hey, I found two things that need improvment.
First one is to put gifs maybe instead of images to see how it works and the second one that there is a lot of text and in mobile it is very small.
Wish you the best!
Good idea. I don't plan beyond a general todo list, so I like the flexible approach of your application.
As for the landing page, I would recommend less tell and more show. I think there are too many long blocks of text which obscure the main points of simplicity and flexibility. Perhaps using gifs to show the basic features of the app would work better.
