Looking for honest feedback on Logology

Logology is a website that we just launched with my 2 co-founders. Every logo in our catalog was created is hand-made by my co-founder and tailored automatically to your project personality.

ROAST ME!

Great service! Logos on demand for a reasonable price.

About the page design... half of me loves it and the other half thinks it hurts my eyes. It original and engaging but there's almost too much going on it can be distracting.

So is there like a backlog of hundreds of logo you've designed that you're just waiting to sell to a user? If somebody purchases a logo is it removed so nobody else can also get it?

      Thanks for the feedback!
It's more an algorithm that put together design materials that we've designed and pre-validated.

Offering my opinions on your site, meant with only good intentions!

    My thoughts:

    • Original!
    • Logo is unique
    • Very playful, creative and fun
    • The transactions from black to white on links is sharp. It feels surprising on first use, I would much rather a softer transition.
    • The background draws away from the call to action.
    • On first look, the service description (below the call to action) feels disjointed. It would be nice if the design showed this in a more intuitive way.

Hey, thank you for the honest feedback!

What's your opinion on the pricing? Did you signed-up? (why?)

It's fun to use and tweak with the designs. I've felt a little lost while choosing startup "characteristics". For example the question with the famous people definitely had no actual connection with how I felt about my startup. I just selected which one sounds close to me.

Designs are great though. I actually spent some time to find something for me. The copy on landing page did not mention vector files. Do you not provide them?

      Thanks for the feedback!
Glad to know that the designs are great, we're trying hard to provide high-end logos in a budget! We do not provide vector files, for now, only high res PNG.

Wow, I really like the process in which you determine which type of startup someone has.

Hey Xavier. I saw your comment on this post and checked out Logology, thought I'd share some feedback.

    1. I'm interested in the idea! I don't know that I'm willing to pay right this moment, might be a little early still for my company, but I was interested enough to sign up.
    2. "The logo maker for design lovers" initially made me think this is a product aimed at designers, but now I'm seeing that as the opposite of your market.
    3. I'm wanting to see examples of the output. I think testimonials of people who used the service and love their logo (and where you can go see their logo being used on their website) would go a long way here.
    4. I'm not enjoying doing the questionnaire. I stopped after the second question. I think what might help is helping me understand how each question is connected to the output logo. Ideally with examples. That'd also help with another issue I had, which is that the answers were too similar. I find it hard to choose when there isn't an obvious distinction between the choices.

I hope that's helpful. Good luck, Xavier!

      Thanks!
Sorry to hear that you leave after the 2nd question. The whole purpose of this quiz is to understand your company personality. It is sometimes hard to choose but it worth going through!

Before I continue, remember that feedback is a gift.

The page looks cluttered and the logo does not look great. It should be a clean design and an amazing logo for your own company.

The focus needs to be on real client logos and the quantified results generated. Find some companies you can help and offer to give them a new logo in exchange for an interview and result stats. Then post it on the front page as real logos from our service. For example, "XYZ Company to XYZ" gave this savvy start-up a 50% increase in conversions (then a testimonial next to it). (do 3 of these with blog posts - see below)

The Our Vision page does not tell the story. Why are you doing this? What problem can you solve? What obstacle did you go through to bring this company to life? etc... Give me a story (with pictures) not a resume. I want to know why Lucie is better than the other designers used in the past. Show me why Dagobert is needed for my logo. Introduce me to Xavier.

In the blog, give me the top 3 customer stories (history and other items can come after). EX: "Julie paid one of those bulk logo services and choose the one her mom liked. After months of not being taken seriously, she contacted Xavier..."

Make some social posts related to the top 3 customer stories and drive everyone to the customer stories.

      Hi Todd,

I very well know that every feedback is a gift, we launched logology a few days ago so we're more than happy to receive some!

I'm sorry to hear that you don't like our logo & design, but it's our identity…
Regarding the examples/testimonials, I would love to have some quite known customers to put on the home but we're not here yet. However, we understood in the last days that the home definitely needs examples of the logo we provide. Lucie is working on it, it should be online in the next few days!
I'll work to re-word the "Our vision" page. It's a bit outdated and off-topic, you are right - it's an old page from the private beta.

Did you signed-up and try the whole process? Why?

      Thanks for your honesty!

        Your welcome.

You can get customers to showcase by providing a free service. It only takes three.

No, I did not sign up as my logo works for now.
