The idea essentially is that - startups/small companies need to be extremely efficient in managing their resources, especially in this market when recession is looming.
Employees happen to be the biggest asset for an organization & hence effective employee management portal is of paramount importance.
An all in one lean & effective employee management tool is the need of the hour.

- Goodbye to boring excel sheets containing employee/project details
- Goodbye to bloated overpriced enterprise employee management portals that aren't suited for leaner organizations

This is really a wonderful idea
I can see this as more if a complete tool suite for startup to handle all their activities
With management dashboard for employee management, finance, task dashboard, project road map section to better support system and more
It could actually be an all in one for startup and small businesses out there to easily manage their business

Why small businesses? Did you do research on that? From my experience enterprise clients are way more open to trying software like this because 1% more efficiency can mean millions of dollars saved.
Because very few players in this segment. Market for enterprises is saturated with established big names.
