Hi everyone,
I’m a parent of two kids who are now teenagers. When they were younger (from about age 1 to 14), bedtime storytelling became a regular ritual in our home. I tried to tell them stories almost every night, even when I was traveling for work.
What surprised me most was how interactive those moments became. The stories often led to conversations about courage, honesty, kindness, and difficult choices. Sometimes their questions were deeper than I expected, and I didn’t always have the perfect answers — but I was happy they were thinking.
Another thing I noticed was language. I grew up speaking my native language at home, but after moving abroad my kids slowly started losing that exposure. And honestly, even I began forgetting how naturally I used to speak it but this bedtime story telling ritual in native language even built their language skills and they were freely communicating with my parents back in my home country.
Last year I started wondering if technology could help recreate that bedtime storytelling experience and value add for other families?
So I built a small app called DeeeVee.
The idea is simple:
Short bedtime stories built around values and moral lessons
Stories can be narrated in a parent’s or grandparent’s voice
Available in many languages, which also helps families maintain their native language
Each story ends with a few reflection questions to spark conversation between parents and kids
It’s still very early, and this is something I’ve been building mostly in my spare time. I’m currently looking for a small group of parents willing to try it and give honest feedback so I can improve it.
If you’re a parent and open to testing it, you can check it out here:
I’d really appreciate any feedback or suggestions from this community.
Thanks.
Your bedtime storytelling app (DeeeVee) is a really heartfelt idea — especially the focus on strengthening parent–child bonding while also preserving native language exposure. That combination of emotional value + education is what makes it feel more meaningful than a typical “kids story app.”
The reflection questions at the end are a nice touch too — that’s where it shifts from entertainment into actual conversation, which most apps in this space don’t really do well.
Quick one — do you work on ideas/projects like this?

I tried your web but it has a few issues:
As a personal thing (for a PM working in the tech space) AI is very helpful, but we are seeing so much AI generated that users are learning to spot them and value them negatively, so simplify the content and remove the slashes "-". It's an easy fix
