Looking for partners interested in micro acquisitions

I’m looking for people to partner up with to make micro acquisitions.

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to the advantages of acquiring rather starting businesses. To paraphrase Dru, starting a business is time consuming and risky. Buying a business helps ensure you have product-market fit and you can focus on growth.

For reference here are a couple of links:

https://medium.com/@ali_moiz/why-dont-startups-do-more-acquisitions-c7af9cbc874c

I’d love to partner up with a few other people (maybe specialists in marketing/growth or tech - but I’m open to anyone) to evaluate and make a few micro acquisitions.

I realise there are quite a few moving parts to this: how to finance acquisitions and, of course, sourcing businesses that have strengths or weaknesses that align with our collective skillset.

A bit more about me:

I have a lot of general business management experience - managing topline P&L, improving margins, developing business cases and financial models, strategic and financial planning. I’ve invested my own money in a few start-ups across a wide range of sectors (low cost SMS arbitrage, fitness app, CBD infused beverages, proptech) and worked in an advisory capacity on bigger deals in telecoms and MSPs. I also have some experience with managing corporate structures and international tax.

If anyone wants to chat about this drop me a line.

This reminds me of a similar idea I had for enabling smaller investors to invest in series A/B startups. I hear about a lot of startups through podcasts I listen to, in particular SE Daily, eg Snowflake 2 years before they IPOed. I'd love to pool capital and evaluation capabilities with the other listeners of the show to create an investment fund but no idea how to set this up on the legal side.

Hi James, I am currently trying to position myself in micro private equity, aiming towards growth funding (either through debt or equity) in established micro businesses that would like to take a step forward. Would love to know more about you and your plans and see if we would work together. email in my profile.

Hey James, Bradian here. Am focused on venture building SaaS businesses with global presence and thought it would be interesting to partner. I recently sold an influencer marketing platform, and am currently growing a social analytics SaaS with paid customers in 57+ countries. Might be interesting to explore Product and Growth-channel synergies together. My email is [email protected]

Hey man! I’ve been looking at this more and more. I have several businesses that I’d like to “plug” additional revenue producing verticals to or acquire companies to make them grow though my marketing processes/channels.

Let’s hop on a call. Send me an email to [email protected]

Do you have a price range in mind.

Really depends on how many people would be chipping in, and how much leverage everyone feels comfortable with. But my gut feel is $50K - $300K range.

What type of business would you be interested in buying? I'm trying to do the same right now doing diligence on a few businesses.

Good question. I'm pretty sector agnostic. The ideal would either be something with established cash flow, or something with proven product market fit and a clear route to scale. What kind of businesses are you looking at?
