Looking for Product Marketer based in Latin America

Hey Indiehackers community,

During my trip to Mexico, I saw that every shopkeeper was using a notebook to record all transactions, accounts payable/ receivable, while they had a phone. I knew that there could be a lot of issues with it like losing records, hard to remind customers and difficult reporting. That was the aha-moment when I realized that if we had a simple app that lets these small business owners keep track of their cash transactions, we could significantly improve their lives.

I wanted to dig deeper into the problem, understanding the user better, current alternatives and market size. I spoke to about 100+ users, started looking for solutions in other markets coming across Khatabook in India & Bukukas in Indonesia, which gave me confidence that it’s a problem worth solving and I started building the app.

I launched the V1 of the app around Dec 2020 and relaunched the V2 with onboarding improvements in March 2021. I currently have about 1500+ users who’ve installed the app and about 500+ MAU. I'm looking for someone based in LATAM to help me better understand the users, and develop content strategy ultimately helping me reach the right users.

Here are a few things that I bring to the table:

1. Product/ Tech experience of shipping products like VisualCV that are currently used by millions around the world
2. Deep passion for empowering the lives of these informal businesses in Latin America and ultimately democratizing financial access
3. Assembled a remote team of mobile devs and designers
4. A fully functional app with all the foundational features required and a few users

What I am looking for in a partner:

1. The person should ideally be located in Brazil, Columbia or Mexico.
2. The person should speak either Portuguese or Spanish.
3. Someone with a passion to bring financial servers to the underserved
4. Someone who understands users and has experience in product marketing
