Looking for programmatic SEO case studies and success stories

I have recently (about a month ago) launched my very first programmatic SEO project. I believe I have currently more than 100.000 computationally generated pages, which I wrote using information from a large database I have been building for over a month beforehand.

I am looking for case studies and experiences from people who have done this before, and I especially want to know how long did it take for you to see results and if it was worth the hassle. My goal is to reach 50k pageviews per month, I am targeting very low competition, long-tail keywords but also going against rather big players (i.e. TripAdvisor). Not planning to do any marketing for now, I will just keep improving my content and try to rely on SEO to do its magic.

My current struggle is that google is refusing to index most of my pages, which I guess was expected with such a large project. I have submitted several sitemaps and actually it seemed that google had started to index them, but after the most recent algorithm update it changed its mind and decided my website is not worthy of love.

My pages are SEO optimized but were all built from the same template, and my plan is to gradually make them more and more unique so that they don't look as "cookie cutter" as now. But I wanted to launch them as soon as possible to speed up indexing, and I don't think that's working as of now.

Google Search Console tells me that 65k pages were discovered on my website but only 910 were indexed. Is there anything I can do to fix this or should I just be more patient?

If the status is "Discovered, Currently Not Indexed", you need worry about it. They will eventually get indexed.

Anyway, it seems it's been close to 1 year this question been posted. Can you let us know the status of the site. Just curious :)

Hi! It's been now around two years. The site is doing great! I haven't really worked on it much since launch, but it is one of my very few website that has NOT been hit by the google HCU which is causing mayhem all around the SEO world. I have recently reached 10k sessions per month and successfully applied for Journey by Mediavine.

Did you build it on a newly registered domain?
