Hii, the best tools I can suggest you is Semrush for Keyword research and website analysis. Spyfu for Competitor analysis.

If you want to go with a low budget, I would go for the free versions of several search tools. Most of them have a free version and combining a few of them would be the best.

I think the best by far is ahref but the price is consistent with what they offer. For keyword research https://neilpatel.com/nl/ubersuggest/ is a good one. However, keep in mind that I didn't perform SEO for several years so other might be improved since.

However, one thing I would keep in mind is the fact that SEO is a long and painful process without guaranteed results. Premature SEO means it keeps you from doing other tasks, for some delayed results that might(or might not) come after months. In the end I would not allocate much time to SEO alone, but I would use the knowledge and information I would acquire to drive the product to be more SEO driven but primarily user driven. I would say on longer time frame a user driven branded product wins big in seo because users are going to search for it. On shorter time frame if you spend time to optimize for seo alone might end up optimizing for some algos that google is going to change in 3 months.

One last thing, before seo it's better to have quality content, that should be written for humans not search engines(blogs, tutorials in your niche, ...). Then you try to seoptimize that one, gain links, without expecting immediate results.

I have been using Ahrefs free version with Google Search Console and Google Analytics. (For ahrefs, $100 without knowing much I thought would be an overkill for me). Juggling between them to draw a general picture of where you rank and how your changes are affecting your site can be a bit of a hassle at first but you do learn a good deal of how
they all tie together. Following the periodic reports emails with recommended updates and fixes etc. has been of great help to understand SEO for me. I'm sure when I go to the paid version, it will be a breath of fresh air... not complaining though. 😊

Ubersuggest is way better than other tools I have used! Especially for keyword research.

moz.com and semrush are the two big players. You can try Moz-free for 30 days and get what you need out of it, in that time.

Ahrefs or Semrush are kings in the seo space and you won’t find anything better.

With that being said, they cost a fortune so pay for a month and get all your research/content ideas in the month. You don’t need to pay for any longer.

My project, Validbot.com, will help with #3 on your list, website analysis. It will help make sure you are following all of the best practices. For example, I ran your site through my tool and noticed a few things. Most importantly, you are missing a DMARC record and your SPF record is overly permissive. This means that emails your website sends may not be reliably delivered and bad actors may be able to send email pretending to be LaunchPedia. These are pretty easy DNS records to add, so I recommend doing it.
