Hi, I'm Ishun, a software engineer based in Japan.
I'd like to connect with someone who's currently looking for a full-time job or thinking about changing careers. I can help with the technical side of the preparation — coding questions, system design, reviewing projects or portfolios, and talking through topics that feel unclear.
You would still handle your own applications, company communication, assessments, and real interviews. I'm only offering support with the preparation.
I'd rather start with a few messages and get to know each other before scheduling any calls. If this sounds useful, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message.
Hi Ishun,
Thanks for the offer — this sounds really useful! I'm a web developer (WordPress, Vue, PHP) with about 8 years of experience, and I'm interested in getting some outside perspective on my skills and how I present them, especially since English isn't my first language. I am from Russia.
Looking forward to chatting!
Best, Irina
Hello.
I am a self-taught, full stack web and android developer by night. i use AI coding agents for about 50% of my projects for some of the more complex tasks, but i wouldn't consider myself a "vibe coder". Looking to try to get into a remote position somewhere, my day job is very stressful and I would like to exit it quickly. Can you help? P.S. I freeze in interviews, so bad that I created an electron windows desktop app that uses transcription and Claude API to detect questions and generate answers with glossary sidebar of terms definitions in live video or phone interviews, with content-protected settings so it doesn't show on screen shares and auto-detect or hotkeys to go to the next question without mouse clicking. I still struggle even with that app for backup lol
Great initiative, but how folks are applying currently in the age AI. Everything seems to be automated and ATS, even at till end the Recruiter just screen for 4-5 secs and makes a decision. would be glad to know if applying part is also getting automated or everything is just referrals nowadays!
Really like the low-pressure structure here, starting with messages before any calls takes the awkwardness out of it, and separating prep support from the actual application process is a smart boundary. A lot of "career help" offers blur that line and end up overstepping.
I'm not actively job hunting in the traditional sense, I run my own freelance/agency work in AI automation (RAG pipelines, CRM/workflow systems, voice agents), but portfolio and system design review is exactly the kind of feedback that's hard to get objectively when you're heads-down building solo. I'd genuinely value a technical sounding board for architecture decisions and project presentation.
Happy to make it a two-way thing if useful, I could trade feedback on system design or portfolio framing from the automation/full-stack side, in exchange for your perspective on mine. Let me know if that's of interest.
i found someone on reddit who's job hunting, i think he could use some help
